Game
19 saw The Maulers take on JK Silvertown B in
an important game for The Maulers. They were sitting
4th and needed just a point to guarantee Plate
qualification. On the other hand, JK Silvertown
B were already eliminated but could, in theory,
move up a place with a win and favorable results
elsewhere.
The
match quickly developed into a tactical battle,
with both sides well organised at the back. The
Maulers defended in numbers, limiting space for
JK Silvertown B's attackers, while JK Silvertown
B were disciplined and committed in closing down
any threats. Opportunities were rare, and chances
were difficult to create in the congested central
areas. Despite periods of pressure from both sides,
the defences remained resolute. Goalkeepers and
defenders were alert to every move, making crucial
blocks, interceptions, and clearances. The organisation
at the back ensured that neither team could find
a breakthrough. The Maulers understandably not
risking too much all the time the game remained
level but not wanting to invite pressure.
The
game finished 0-0, a fair reflection of the tight
contest. The Maulers secured the point they needed
to guarantee Plate qualification.

The
penultimate game of Group B featured a mouthwatering
showdown between The Legends and Celtic Eagles,
both unbeaten with 5 wins from 5 in Group B.
Celtic Eagles led the group on goal difference,
and a win or draw would see them finish top,
securing a theoretically easier Cup semi-final.
The Legends needed a win to claim first place,
making this clash a high-stakes encounter despite
both teams having already qualified for the
Cup. The group winner would avoid the defending
champions in the Semi-Finals which was a good
incentive.
From
the outset, both teams played with intensity
and purpose. Celtic Eagles struck first through
Manu Lopez, giving them the lead and putting
pressure on the Bulgarians to respond. The goal
reflected Celtic Eagles' attacking quality and
clinical finishing in the tournament so far.
The Legends, however, were not to be denied.
They regrouped and equalised through Mladen
Mihaylov, demonstrating their resilience, teamwork,
and ability to respond under pressure. From
that point on, the game remained balanced, with
both defences alert and goalkeepers making important
saves.
The
match finished 1-1, a fair outcome in a closely
contested game. Both teams deserved credit for
their performances throughout Group B, with
Celtic Eagles narrowly taking the top spot.

Game
21 brought Group B to a dramatic conclusion as
Lucanos Locos and Skidmarks 4Gs went head-to-head
in a straight shootout for qualification. Lucanos
Locos began the match in 4th place, knowing that
a draw would be enough to see them progress, while
Skidmarks 4Gs had no choice but to win. With such
high stakes on the line, both teams entered the
contest with determination, intensity, and the
knowledge that there was no second chance. This
was a de facto Quarter-Final in all but name.
Skidmarks
4Gs made the perfect start, flying out of the
blocks and racing into a 2-0 lead. Their number
“8” opened the scoring before Rupert Harvey, in
fine form throughout the tournament, doubled the
advantage. At that stage, Skidmarks looked destined
for progression, while Lucanos Locos – runners-up
in Porto just 12 months earlier – seemed to be
heading for an early exit.
However,
Lucanos Locos refused to go down without a fight.
Star striker Szymon Holona once again proved their
talisman, scoring twice to level the game at 2-2
and flipping the group standings back in their
favour. As the clock ticked down, Lucanos Locos
were momentarily back in control and on course
for the Plate.
But
the story had one final twist. In a decisive late
moment, Rupert Harvey struck again to complete
a thrilling 3-2 victory for Skidmarks 4Gs – his
second of the match and, without doubt, the most
important of their campaign so far. The result
sent Skidmarks through to the knockout stages
in 3rd place, while eliminating Lucanos Locos
– heartbreak for them. The Polish team bowed out
after another spirited European showing.
