The final round of Group A action kicked off with Red Star taking on Rapid Bosco Navas in a match where, despite both teams being out of the qualification picture, there was still plenty to play for. Pride, position, and a positive finish to their campaigns were all at stake. The equation was simple — the winner would take fifth place, while a draw would be enough for Red Star to secure it. From the off, both teams approached the game with the freedom that comes once pressure is lifted, and it made for an entertaining contest.

It was Red Star who seized control early on, showing sharpness and desire in front of goal. Rob O'Brien struck first to give them the lead before captain Steve Lowe made it 2-0, rounding off a fine move and underlining his influence on the team's debut campaign. Rapid Bosco Navas, who had fought gamely throughout the tournament, hit back through the ever-dangerous Alberto Rodriguez, whose fifth goal of the competition briefly threatened a comeback. However, Red Star were determined to end their eurofootballfives.com adventure on the right note. Iain McCrae opened his account with a well-taken finish to restore the two-goal cushion before Lowe completed his brace to make it 4-1 and put the result beyond doubt. It was a commanding display from the English side, full of energy, teamwork, and attacking intent.

The final whistle brought a fine 4-1 victory and a fitting conclusion to Red Star's debut campaign in what had been one of the toughest groups of the day. They could leave Barcelona with their heads held high — a strong finish, a solid team spirit, and plenty of promise for future tournaments.

The penultimate fixture in Group A saw FC Tpaktop take on Team Polonia Limerick in a game loaded with qualification implications. Both sides entered knowing that victory was the only realistic route to the Cup semi-finals — though a draw could still work in the Polish team's favour depending on results elsewhere. The tension was high and the stakes couldn't have been clearer.

Team Polonia Limerick, already proven to be one of the most clinical outfits in the tournament, took charge with a goal from Adam Gracz, who once again showed his knack for stepping up when it mattered most. His strike settled any early nerves and set the tone for what was to follow. Kuba Cieloch doubled the lead with a cool finish, giving the Polish team a firm grip on proceedings as their precision and movement caused problems for FC Tpaktop. The contest was effectively sealed when Patryk Suwinski added a third, capping off another impressive attacking performance from a Polonia Limerick side full of confidence and cohesion. FC Tpaktop fought bravely, but the early goals had given them too much to do against an opponent who were in ruthless form. The match finished 3-0 — another clean sheet, another statement of intent.

It was a vital win for Team Polonia Limerick, one that confirmed their place in the Cup semi-finals regardless of what happened in the final group game. As for FC Tpaktop, they could reflect on a spirited campaign that saw them go toe-to-toe with the group's elite. They may have just missed out on the Cup, but their quality and determination ensured they'd be among the favourites for the Plate competition.

The final match of Group A brought together two of the tournament's heavyweights as JK Silvertown A faced Skidmarks OGs in a decisive clash. Both sides came into the game unbeaten so it's incredible one of these teams would miss out on the Cup. JK Silvertown A, the defending champions, needed only to avoid defeat to secure top spot and a place in the Cup semi-finals. For Skidmarks OGs, victory was essential — anything less would see them slip into the Plate despite an impressive campaign. It was all set up for a grand finale to the group stage.

JK Silvertown A, as they had done all tournament, rose to the occasion with professionalism and composure. “5” opened the scoring to give the English side the perfect start. From there, Chris Wright took centre stage. His sharp finishing and relentless attacking play saw him net twice to make it 3-0, leaving Skidmarks OGs shell-shocked. For a team that had been so solid throughout the group, it was a rare spell where their opponents' quality simply overwhelmed them.

Skidmarks OGs showed spirit as Richard Keeley continued his remarkable scoring run by pulling one back, but the comeback hopes were short-lived. Wright completed his hat-trick to restore the three-goal cushion, before Kwame Mensah added a fifth to round off a superb team performance. The final whistle confirmed a 5-1 victory, one of the most dominant displays of the day and a statement that the reigning champions meant business once again.

It was a result that sent JK Silvertown A through to the Cup semi-finals as Group A winners, maintaining their unbeaten record in the process. For Skidmarks OGs, the heavy defeat was a blow, but their earlier performances ensured they would continue their campaign in the Plate competition, where their pedigree and experience would still make them formidable contenders.
