The
2025 Barcelona Sevens came to a thrilling conclusion
with F.R. Ady crowned as deserved champions
of the Cup competition. The Hungarian side were
outstanding from start to finish, combining
technical excellence, tactical intelligence,
and relentless energy throughout the day. Their
3–1 victory in the final over Sporting Armada
showcased everything that made them special
— resilience under pressure, clinical finishing,
and a strong team spirit. Commiserations to
Sporting Armada, who played with heart and quality
all day, and can take immense pride in reaching
the final of such a high-class tournament.
In the Plate competition, congratulations go
to Milner Street, who produced an excellent
run to claim the title. They showed consistency,
teamwork, and determination to come out on top.
They produced 3 back-to-back wins at the end
scoring 11 in those matches to peak at just
the right time. New Ham United wer runners-up,
who fell just short in the final but can look
back on a strong campaign that saw them play
some fine football on European soil. Both teams
added great excitement and entertainment to
the day, embodying the spirit and sportsmanship
that define eurofootballfives events.
A special mention must go to Szabo Csaba, whose
eight-goal haul earned him the Top Goalscorer
award — a fitting recognition of his influence
and quality throughout the competition. His
goals were crucial in F.R. Ady’s road to glory.
Finally,
a huge thank-you to all teams who joined us
in Barcelona for another unforgettable tournament.
The standard of football, camaraderie, and good
humour on display made it a truly memorable
event. We look forward to welcoming everyone
back to eurofootballfives action very soon —
there really is no better way to combine football
and a lads tour to Europe.
