Game 1 of Group B saw Sporting Armada face Milner Street in a reunion of a group phase clash in the 2022 Amsterdam Sevens. On that occasion Milner Street claimed a 1-0 victory. That was Milner Street's debut and they made a solid start with a 0-0 draw against The Bastards (Ned). They followed this up with two 1-0 wins against Dnipro and Armada All Stars. They then lost 3-1 to City FC before a 1-1 draw with The Gentleman's Club in a match they needed to win to reach the Cup. The draw meant they qualified for the Plate where they would meet FC Tpaktop in the Semi-Finals. They secured a 3-0 win to set up a final against Turn Down For Watford. It was a match too far as Turn Down For Watford won 5-2.

Sporting Armada took the early initiative as Ewen Jeffrey slotted home to give them a 1-0 lead at halftime. It was a tight and competitive first half, with both sides testing each other but Sporting Armada holding a slender advantage.

The second half saw a flurry of goals and constant twists in momentum. Harry Nicoll drew Milner Street level before Alfie Barclay restored Sporting Armada's lead. Nicoll struck again to make it 2-2, keeping the tension high. In the final stages, Ewen Jeffrey came up clutch once more, scoring the decisive goal to seal a thrilling 3-2 victory for Sporting Armada in a pulsating opener.

Dolce and Lallana made their debut in our events at the 2022 Amsterdam Sixes and took to European football like a duck to water. They made an instant impact with a 3-1 win over recently crowned Amsterdam Sevens champions, Humble Goats. This was quickly followed up with a 5-1 win over Whiteley FC and a 2-1 win over Colden Hommodore. A small blip saw them draw 2-2 with LFFC (Fra) but they were back to winning ways to sign off the group in style 3-0 versus FC Kicks – the reigning Amsterdam Fives champions. When it came to the Cup Semi-Finals we had four really strong teams and all looked capable of winning the title. Dolce and Lallana met Ball Bashers and lost 3-1 to the eventual champions.

Today they had a tough opening fixture against F.R. Ady of Hungary who impressed in Porto last year (more on them later) . Both teams approached the game with a disciplined tactical setup, probing for openings but not forgetting defensive solidity. The first half was cagey, with chances few and far between as both goalkeepers and defences were on top. Despite glimpses of attacking intent from both sides, neither team could find a breakthrough, and the score remained 0-0 at halftime, leaving everything to play for in the second half.

After the interval, the game burst into life. The Hungarians drew first blood when captain Levente Lelek calmly finished off a well-constructed move to make it 1-0. Dolce & Lallana responded with determination, and Thomas Forster equalised, restoring parity and keeping the contest finely balanced. The decisive moment arrived later when Szabo Csaba struck for F.R. Ady, securing a 2-1 victory. The match showcased both teams' resilience and quality, with F.R. Ady ultimately taking the spoils thanks to some clinical finishing.

Game 3 of Group B saw Cruz Del Sur v Sporting Armada. These two teams met at the 2024 Krakow Trophy where Cruz Del Sur won 3-0. Cruz Del Sur were eager to get their tournament underway but faced a Sporting Armada side who looked stronger than they had done so in Krakow last year where the teams finished first and second in their group.

Sporting Armada's best performance to date in our events came at the 2022 Amsterdam Fives where they began well with two wins (2-0 v Real Sosobad, 3-2 v Columbia's Finest FC) before a 3-2 defeat to the eventual champions, FC Kicks. They were back to winning ways with 3-0 wins over Red Cow Belgrade and NiB Catennacio. They qualified for the Cup in 2 nd place before demolishing Amsterdam Barbarians 9-2 in the Semi-Finals. They set-up a rematch with FC Kicks who won the title, 6-2. Today they would be looking to go one better and already had a win under their belts against Milner Street.

From the first whistle, Sporting Armada looked confident, probing the Cruz Del Sur defence and creating opportunities. Their persistence paid off when Paul Oliver opened the scoring, giving them a 1-0 lead and setting the tone for the rest of the match.

Sporting Armada maintained their control in the second half, doubling their advantage through Alfie Barclay, who continued his fine run of form with a second goal in consecutive games. Cruz Del Sur struggled to break down their well-organised opposition, and despite some forays forward, they could not find a way back into the game. The match ended 2-0 to Sporting Armada, giving them two wins from two and reinforcing their credentials as serious contenders in Group B, while Cruz Del Sur would need to regroup quickly for their next fixture.

Milner Street last played in our events at the 2024 Porto Tournament. Things could not have gone much better in the group phase as they collected a 3-0 win over Stroke Titti FC before a tight 1-0 victory over Turn Down For Watford. The wins kept coming with a 2-1 win over Atletico Patrick Bateman before a 2-2 draw against GD Leoes de Guarda but that ultimately didn't matter as they had done enough to win Group B with 10 points. A quirk of fate in the fixtures meant the Group B winners meant they faced the second best third placed team which happened to be GD Leoes de Guarda. The two teams played out a 1-1 Quarter-Final tie with the Portuguese eventually triumphing 2-1 on spot kicks. It was tough for Milner Street who exited the tournament despite being unbeaten in normal time.

They had arrived in Barcelona unbeaten but that record was ended by Sporting Armada in their first game today. They needed to get back to winning ways against F.R.Ady but it would be tough. The Hungarians showed early on why they were in such good form, taking the lead through a precise strike from Levente Robert Tamas. They quickly doubled their advantage with Zoltan Eotvos adding his name to the scoresheet, before Szabo Csaba scored for the second consecutive game to make it 3-0 at half-time.

The second half saw F.R.Ady continue to dominate, with Dominik Bodnar extending the lead to 4-0. Milner Street managed a late consolation through Freddie Kalfayan, but it was too little, too late. The match ended 4-1 to F.R.Ady, a performance that showcased their attacking prowess and defensive discipline. With this result, F.R.Ady moved to the top of Group B on goal difference, setting up an intriguing battle for the leading positions as the group stage progressed.

Cruz Del Sur are one of 3 teams in the draw who competed at the 2024 Krakow Trophy Sevens last year. They opened up with a solid 1-1 draw against Iguana Time before winning 2-0 against Barrymoore's Swim Club, 2-0 over Alea Iacta Est, 3-0 over Sporting Armada and 4-1 against Just Here 40 Krak. They topped Group B and were looking good as they entered the Cup Semi-Finals. They were up against two times former winners Big Time Krakow and lost out by the slenderest of margins, 1-0.

The Sevens seemed to suit their game but they had opened up with a defeat to Sporting Armada today. Their next opponents would be Dolce & Lallana. Both teams were looking to bounce back after narrow opening defeats. The match got off to a competitive start, and it was Cruz Del Sur who struck first through David Coleman, giving them the early advantage. Dolce & Lallana responded before half-time, with Tommy Forster equalising for the second game in a row; Forster, top scorer at the 2022 Amsterdam Fives with nine goals, was once again proving his eye for goal. The teams went into the break level at 1-1, leaving everything to play for in the second half.

The second half saw both sides push for a decisive win, as a draw would do relatively little for either in the hunt for the knockout phase. Cruz Del Sur took the lead through Tom Lawro, and Dominic Pitt added a third to seal a 3-1 victory. The win boosted Cruz Del Sur's prospects of advancing while leaving Dolce & Lallana needing strong performances in their remaining matches. The match highlighted the competitive edge of both teams, but Cruz Del Sur's finishing and composure under pressure proved the difference.
