Round 2 began with Dumplings CF and Mardons FC due to take the field for the second time today. Mardons FC had opened up with a solid 0-0 draw. Dumplings CF had fallen to a 2-1 defeat. Each team would harbour desires of celebrating their first victory come the final whistle in this fixture.

The two teams served up a six goal extravaganza in what was the highest scoring game of Group B to date. It was Dumpling CF who struck first thanks to a goal from Dan O'Mahoney. Mardons FC fought back and levelled the score at 1-1 with a strike from Tom Cook. Mardons FC then turned this game on its head with a Matt Jennings goal that put his team 2-1 up.

It was next the turn of Dumplings CF to fight back as they recovered to 2-2 thanks to O'Mahoney's second strike of the game. From 2-2 it was Dumplings CF that forged ahead with a goal from Rob Huckle. At 3-2 Dumpling CF had the momentum with them and they went on to clinch victory when Rob Huckle scored again to make it 4-2 and put all 3 points on the board for his team.

 
 
 

There were two teams yet to start their campaign in Group B but that was about to change. Bjorn Helge Riise's Pieces and Club Esportiu Llefia took to the field in Game 5.

Club Esportiu Llefia made a highly successful debut at the 2015 Barcelona Fives. They emerged from Group B as winners with 2 wins and 2 draws. They then embarked on a winning run to glory with a 3-2 Quarter-Final win over Walthamstow Warriors. A 4-0 Semi-Final win over North London in the Semi-Finals meant they would meet the Alabama Hotpockets in the Cup Final. It was a sensational performance in the Final that saw them run out 5-0 winners with a particularly strong second half. They also boasted the tournament's top goalscorer as Alfred Jimenez De Andres scored 9 in 7 games.

They had been ever-present since making their 8 th consecutive appearance in the tournament and they begun today's tournament well with a 1-0 win. We will preview Bjorn Helge Riise's Pieces in more detail as we progress with this report but it was a decent performance first time out against strong Spanish opposition.

 
 
 

To complete Round 2 we had Mitre FC B versus Mardons FC. Due to the last minute changes we had to the fixtures it meant Mardons FC were playing their second game of the round and their third overall. Having opened up with a 0-0 they then lost 4-2 having been 2-1 up. They weren't playing badly but looking for that result that would get that first win on the board.

Mitre FC B had won their first game 2-1 and could open up a 3 point lead at the top with another victory. Marlon Moore scored in the opening game and he was on target again to give the men in green a crucial 1-0 lead.

Adam Smith also scored in the first game for Mitre FC B and he also scored in consecutive fixtures to make it 2-0. It was another 3 points for Mitre FC B who had made a fantastic start in Group B. With their A team riding high in Group A things were looking good for the Mitre FC travelling squad.
