Next
up was FC Dosko versus FC NoeNoe.
FC
NoeNoe (Ned) made quite a debut last year at
the 2024 Amsterdam Sixes when then swept to
a superb victory. It looked good from the opening
moments when they defeated Empty Glasses FC
3-0 before a 3-3 draw versus Elderly Support
and a 1-1 draw versus Shaheen's United. Cup
qualification was in the balance at this stage
but a 4-0 win over FC23 improved their chances
and a 3-1 win over FC Twente Bag helped them
claim the Group B title via goal difference.
In the knockout phase, Maai proved no match
for them as FC NoeNoe powered through to the
final, 4-0. A pulsating final against Humble
Goats was a 6-goal thriller with FC NoeNoe emerging
victorious 4-2. They are back to defend their
title.
It
would be a tough start for them as they had
to begin the game with just five players due
to some squad delays. This didn't seem to phase
them at all as it was normal service resumed
from 12 months ago. Despite the numerical disadvantage
they headed into half-time 2-0 up. Aryan Janaghol
scored their first of the day before Ehssan
Aziz doubled the advantage.
This
was quite a performance from FC NoeNoe as their
opponents, FC Dosko, were clearly no mugs and
looked a good side. FC Dosko must have wondered
what was happening but they were back in the
game after the break with Irinel Cotruta on
target to reduce arrears to 2-1. They couldn't
force an equalizer though as FC NoeNoe completed
a fine victory.
