The first Cup Semi-Final of the 2025 Amsterdam Sixes promised fireworks – and it delivered in full. It was an all-Dutch showdown between Young Stars (1st, Group A) and FC Dosko (2nd, Group B) – two talented squads with Romanian heritage and a shared hunger for glory. Young Stars came into the match as the standout team from the group stage, with a devastating blend of firepower and defensive discipline. FC Dosko, however, had grown into the tournament and carried strong momentum into the knockouts.

The opening half was tightly contested. Ciprian Baltariu, one of Young Stars' key attacking threats, struck to give his side an early advantage. But FC Dosko were unfazed – Florin Gradinariu fired back with a goal that typified their never-say-die attitude. With the score finely poised at 1-1 at the break, the stage was set for a pulsating second half.

Dosko looked like they might cause the upset when Emi Gradinariu put them 2-1 up. For a moment, the favourites looked like they were heading out. But great teams respond to adversity, and Young Stars did just that. Andrei Toma, who had already scored earlier in the day, produced a timely equaliser to bring the tie level once more. As the clock ticked on, the tension grew – until one man stepped up to settle it.

With ice in his veins, Madalin Stoleriu struck what proved to be the match-winner – his 11th goal of a remarkable tournament. It was a goal fitting of a final, never mind a semi, and it capped off a gritty comeback for the pre-tournament favourites. FC Dosko pushed hard but couldn't find a third. It ended 3-2 to Young Stars, who booked their place in the Cup Final and stayed on course to complete a perfect tournament run.

The second Cup Semi-Final of the 2025 Amsterdam Sixes brought together the reigning champions FC NoeNoe and the tournament's rising contenders, One Last Dance FC. FC NoeNoe had been flawless so far with five wins from five and were showing all the signs of a team on a mission to retain their crown. One Last Dance FC had momentum of their own, coming into the tie off the back of three successive victories – including a statement win over double Amsterdam Sevens champions Humble Goats.

However, any hopes of an upset were quickly dashed as FC NoeNoe came flying out of the traps. Ehssan Aziz broke the deadlock early to settle the nerves and establish control. Soon after, Haroun Kamarkheyl doubled the advantage, before Shakir Latifi took over. One of the tournament's standout attacking talent added two goals before the break, giving FC NoeNoe a commanding 4-0 half-time lead and it seemed their path to the final was inevitable.

With the tie effectively sealed, FC NoeNoe still didn't take their foot off the gas. Latifi returned in the second half to complete a superb hat-trick – a performance that underlined his class and killer instinct in front of goal. Aziz then added his second of the match to round off a ruthless 6-0 win and send the defending champions into a second successive Cup Final.

For One Last Dance FC, the tournament ends here, but their debut campaign should be remembered for the quality, determination and resilience they showed. They proved themselves capable against top opposition and can be proud of their achievements – this heavy semi-final defeat shouldn't overshadow the promise they've shown throughout.
