We entered the final round of games which would be played simultaneously. We started on Pitch 1 with De Daggoes versus Totoriino. After Round 4, De Daggoes knew that qualification was mathematically beyond them. This would be their last game and last chance to end the day on a high in terms of results. Totoriino on the other hand were aiming high. They were currently top of the table and only needed a point to clinch the Group B title. Due to their goal difference they could even afford a narrow loss but they would not want to halt their momentum heading into the Cup competition.

The match went with the form book in a relatively orderly first half. Edoardo Pedrazzoli opened the scoring before Mattias Dethmers added to his haul. It was 2-0 at half-time. In the second half we witnessed some real fireworks with goals galore. Totoriino extended their lead to 4-0 thanks to a Matteo Picco double. De Daggoes responded when Hendrik Brouwer found the back of the net. It was normal service resumed with Matteo Picco completing his hat-trick and then a fourth for good measure. De Daggoes continued to fight as Reggy Almeida reduced the arrears to 6-2.

Totoriino were not finished yet though with Niccolo Cattadori and Mattias Dethmers rounding off a comprehensive 8-2 win for Totoriino as they powered through to the Cup Semi-Finals. De Daggoes were out but it was clear they had quality – a small squad size worked against them on a hot day as they were unable to rotate the squad.

Whilst Totoriino were marching towards the Group B title on Pitch 1 we had CleanUpCrew versus Tilbury Douglas on Pitch 2. CleanUpCrew currently in third position. Good run of form with 2 wins in a row and a goal difference of 12-4 over that period. CleanUpCrew needed to avoid defeat to clinch a place in the Plate. They could reach the Cup if they won and the match on Pitch 3 was a draw or an RJW United victory. Tilbury Douglas were a point behind in fifth position. They could still reach the Cup with a win (and the match on Pitch 3 ending in a draw). A win would guarantee them a place in the Plate at the bare minimum. A draw would also see them reach the Plate provided RJW United lost their final game.

The match itself was a cagey affair, marked by discipline, concentration, and a sense of occasion. Tilbury Douglas started brightly, pressing high and looking to force mistakes from the CleanUpCrew backline. However, the form team of the group defended resolutely, marshalled well by their keeper and centre-backs. Josue Jerome and Rajaan Prince showed glimpses of danger on the break for CleanUpCrew, but clear chances were few and far between.

In the second half, the tension grew. Tilbury Douglas pushed more bodies forward knowing that only a win would realistically be enough. CleanUpCrew, having scored 12 goals in their last two games, were unusually quiet going forward (credit to the Tilbury Douglas defence) — but they knew a point would be enough to get the job done. When the final whistle blew, CleanUpCrew celebrated a third unbeaten game in a row and a well-earned place in the Plate competition.

We thought Tilbury Douglas were unlucky last year to finish 4th with just 1 defeat and an even goal difference. This year they were even more unlucky as just 1 defeat and an even goal difference meant a 5th place finish and elimination. In both cases they had 3x draws which can really limit your progress up the table. It's pretty incredible that with just 2 defeats in 10 group games they've reached the Plate once and been eliminated. Even just turning one of those draws into a win would have made a huge difference.

The final match of Group B brought plenty of drama as Wentworth Arms and RJW United faced off on Pitch 3 with Cup and Plate qualification on the line. Both teams knew what was at stake — Wentworth Arms knew a win would guarantee them a place in the Cup. A draw would see them finish second or third subject to the result of CleanUpCrew v Tilbury Douglas. RJW United knew only a win would be good enough to give them a chance of the Cup but they would need CleanUpCrew to lose their final game. For the Plate, they could lose or draw provided Tilbury Douglas lost their final game.

It was Wentworth Arms who made the initial breakthrough, continuing their trend of fast starts. Liam O'Connell, the tournament's second top scorer at this stage, added to his tally with a composed finish to give his side a 1-0 lead. It was his ninth of the competition — a mark of his clinical form. However, RJW United responded well to the setback. Darren Smith-Wellington, a constant threat throughout the group stage, struck back with a well-placed finish to level the game at 1-1 before half-time. The goal kept RJW's Cup hopes alive going into the second period.

After the break, it was RJW United who took control. They knew only a win would do, and they played with urgency and belief. Darren Smith-Wellington stepped up once more, netting his sixth of the tournament to put his team 2-1 ahead. It was a vital goal, not just in the context of the game but in the wider group picture. Wentworth Arms pushed forward in search of an equaliser but couldn't break through a determined RJW defence. The final whistle sparked scenes of celebration for the team wearing black.

With other results going in their favour, RJW United's comeback win propelled them into second place and secured a coveted spot in the Cup competition — a fantastic achievement for a team making their debut at the tournament. Wentworth Arms, despite the defeat, had done enough across the group phase to secure fourth and a place in the Plate. It was a competitive and tightly fought group, and this final clash proved a fitting finale.
