Round 4 of Group A began by bringing together the early pacesetters in a top-of-the-table clash between Bet365 aside and FC Floriande. Bet365 aside had been in blistering form, claiming two wins from two and racking up 11 goals in the process. FC Floriande came into the contest unbeaten with five points from three games, their confidence high after a convincing 4-1 victory last time out.

The first half belonged to Bet365 aside, who imposed themselves early and struck twice through Jonathon Collo. The striker has been a consistent threat throughout the tournament, and his clinical finishing once again gave the English side a solid platform. FC Floriande, despite patches of promising play, struggled to gain a foothold against a well-drilled and physical opponent.

The second half was more balanced as FC Floriande looked to mount a comeback. Younes El Hassani, in fine form during the group stage, found the net again to keep his side in contention. However, Bet365 aside would not be rattled and restored their two-goal cushion through Hal Senturk, ensuring they stayed in control and saw the game out with composure and efficiency.

The 3-1 win saw Bet365 aside extend their lead at the top of the table to four points, making them strong favourites to finish as Group A winners. FC Floriande lost their unbeaten record but will take positives from a spirited second-half display, knowing they remain firmly in the hunt for a place in the knockouts. With two games still to play, there's plenty left to contest in a wide-open group.

In Group A's next fixture, Sutton on Tour and The Vic FC went head-to-head in a crucial mid-table clash. With both teams having just picked up their first victories, momentum was on the line as they aimed to push further up the standings. Sutton on Tour sat in 5th while The Vic FC were just ahead in 4th, setting the stage for a tightly contested encounter.

The first half was evenly matched, with both sides showing discipline in defence and few clear-cut chances emerging. Sutton on Tour had spells of possession and tried to dictate the pace, while The Vic FC looked compact and organised, clearly growing in confidence after their comeback win in the previous game. It ended goalless at the break, with little to separate the two sides.

It didn't take long after the restart for the breakthrough to come. Archie Ring, already off the mark in the tournament, struck early in the second half with a composed finish to give The Vic FC a vital 1-0 lead. Sutton on Tour pushed forward in response, but a combination of solid defending and sharp goalkeeping kept them at bay.

The final whistle confirmed a hard-earned 1-0 win for The Vic FC, who continued their steady rise up the Group A table. The result lifted them to 2nd place and firmly into Cup qualification contention. For Sutton on Tour, it was a narrow defeat but they remained well in the mix for the Plate – with games still to come and everything to play for.

Sambal Jorra FC delivered a statement performance in Group A as they powered to a thrilling 5-2 victory over Hobbema's in a crucial mid-table clash. With both teams languishing in the bottom two positions going into the fixture, the stakes were high, and it was the Dutch side who rose to the occasion. Determined to keep their qualification hopes alive, Sambal Jorra FC came out with intensity and purpose.

They took early control of the match, with the lively Jamiro Bouva proving to be a constant threat in the final third. Bouva struck twice in the opening half, finishing clinically to give his team a deserved 2-0 lead at the break. Hobbema's struggled to get a foothold in the game and were left chasing shadows at times as Sambal Jorra FC moved the ball with purpose and confidence.

After the interval, Merlijn van Duinen added a third for Sambal Jorra FC, who looked to be cruising at 3-0. However, Hobbema's showed signs of life through Max Pienik, who reduced the deficit with a well-taken goal to make it 3-1. Any hopes of a comeback were swiftly dashed though, as Bouva completed his hat-trick with a composed finish to restore the three-goal cushion.

Pienik struck again for Hobbema's to make it 4-2, but Bouva capped off a memorable individual performance with his fourth goal of the game, sealing a 5-2 triumph. It was a five-star display from Sambal Jorra FC, who finally got the reward their attacking play had been threatening. For Hobbema's, it was another frustrating outing, and they will now need a strong response in the remaining group matches to stay in contention.
