De Daggoes and Wentworth Arms treated the crowd on Pitch 1 to a high-scoring thriller as Round 3 of Group B got underway. It was a game packed with attacking flair, defensive lapses, and standout individual performances. De Daggoes came into the match still searching for their first points, while Wentworth Arms were unbeaten and looking to tighten their grip on a top-two spot. By full-time, Wentworth Arms had done just that with a 7-4 win, in a contest that saw 11 goals shared between the teams.

The first half was a sign of things to come — fast-paced and full of chances. Wentworth Arms had the sharper finishing, going into the break with a 3-1 lead. Liam O'Connell continued his red-hot scoring form with two first-half goals, while Michael Wright also found the net. De Daggoes responded with a goal from Jayden Almeida, who would go on to be one of the game's standout players himself.

The second half carried on in the same end-to-end fashion. Jayden Almeida completed a superb hat-trick for De Daggoes, showing great composure in front of goal, and teammate Artur Pevsariyan also got in on the act. However, their efforts weren't enough to overturn the deficit as Wentworth Arms kept their foot on the gas. O'Connell added two more goals to take his personal tally to four for the match — and eight overall in the tournament — while Michael Davey and Anthony Morgan chipped in to complete a dominant attacking performance.

The result confirmed Wentworth Arms as serious contenders for the Cup places, maintaining their unbeaten run with 7 points from 9. Liam O'Connell's name is now firmly in the frame for the Golden Boot as his incredible goal tally continues to rise. For De Daggoes, despite another defeat, they showed attacking promise and spirit, but their leaky defence remains a concern. They'll need to shore things up quickly if they're to avoid early elimination.

RJW United and CleanUpCrew met on Pitch 2 in what turned out to be a pulsating and entertaining encounter. RJW United came into the game hoping to build momentum after a solid win in their previous match, while CleanUpCrew were still seeking their first points of the day despite two narrow defeats. Early signs suggested RJW United might be the ones to come out on top again, with Raphael Wilson firing them into a 1-0 lead and continuing their bright start.

But then the game turned on its head — and it was Josue Jerome who turned it. The CleanUpCrew striker found his rhythm and changed the match almost single-handedly. He equalised in clinical fashion before adding a second to put his team in front. With confidence growing, he completed his hat-trick to make it 3-1, and then incredibly added a fourth before the break. It was a sensational first-half display from Jerome as CleanUpCrew went in 4-1 up at the whistle.

RJW United rallied after the break, and Darren Smith-Wellington gave them a glimmer of hope with a well-taken goal to make it 4-2. However, that hope was quickly extinguished as Juan Pablo restored the three-goal cushion for CleanUpCrew, making it 5-2 with a composed finish. RJW United continued to push and did grab a late goal through Olaolu Oloyede, but by that point it was too little, too late.

CleanUpCrew deserved the win — their first of the tournament — and looked a different side once they got into their stride. Josue Jerome's stunning first-half performance was the clear highlight and will go down as one of the best individual displays of the day. For RJW United, it was a frustrating setback after a promising start, but they're still very much in contention in this tightly contested Group B.

Last but not least in Round 3 was Tilbury Douglas v Totoriino on Pitch 3. This was a top-of-the-table clash between two unbeaten teams, both looking to take control of Group B. Totoriino had a perfect record coming into the game, while Tilbury Douglas were just behind them with a win and a draw. With both teams in fine form, this was set up as one of the standout fixtures of the round.

As expected in a battle between the top two, it was a tightly contested affair. Neither side was willing to give an inch, and while both had their moments going forward, the defences took centre stage. The attacking flair that had lit up the earlier rounds was largely neutralised in a tactical contest where discipline and organisation were key.

Not often do we see a 0-0 on these pitches — matches have averaged almost five goals per game so far — which is a real testament to the defensive units on both sides. Both goalkeepers were excellent when called upon, commanding their areas with confidence and pulling off the saves when needed. The back lines in front of them also stayed compact and composed throughout.

While Totoriino lost their 100% record, they maintained their unbeaten status and top position in the group. Tilbury Douglas remained firmly in the mix and could take encouragement from being the first side to stop the Italians from scoring. A valuable point apiece in a high-quality encounter between two sides who look set for deep runs in the competition.
