The first game of Round 2 saw Kings Old Boys take on Mestallaban of Ireland. The teams both entered the game on the back of a defeat so would quickly want to turn their fortunes around.

It was Mestallaban who took the first steps on the road to recovery when they opened the scoring through Lorcan Bannon. Bannon scored again along with Fiachra Hartnett's first goal of the tournament. Mestallaban had stormed to a 3-0 victory and what a fine win it was.

We must confess we were a little surprised when the scoreline came in (not least the margin of victory) – this was purely based upon the teams performances in past tournaments. We think this only serves to underline what a great performance Mestallaban put in and how improved they were since the 2010 Prague Masters.

For Kings Old Boys the defeat represented a slow start but they had time and games to recover.

Next up was Nothigam Pressa against FC Miracle. Nothigam Pressa had played well in their opening game without reward so would hope to get some recognition for their performance in this game. FC Miracle had started off in sensational style with a 6-3 win and they were favourites for this one too.

FC Miracle were not allowed to have it all their own way and they were forced to work hard for the points in this game. At half-time the teams were locked together at 1-1. Nothigam Pressa had been here before when they were 1-1 at the break and lost out in the second half. Sadly for the Spanish team, history was to repeat itself.

Although Nothigam Pressa scored again after the break through Hector Cebria Conejus goals from Zoltan Rajki and Laszlo Zsolt (his second of the game and 5th in 2 games) wrapped up the points for FC Miracle.

It was a 3-2 win for the Hungarians and one they really had to work for. They sat on top of Group B with Nothigam Pressa struggling for points in 5th but playing pretty well.

The final game of Group B was an intriguing affair between two teams who had a chance of joining FC Miracle at the top of the table. So, who could make a giant leap forward – Club Tropicana Drinks FC or FC Dad?

Like the game before honours were even at the break 1-1 with Tom Green (Club Tropicana Drinks FC) and Calum Jones (FC Dad) trading blows. Club Tropicana Drinks FC had been level 1-1 in their first game and stormed to victory in the second half…..they repeated the feat in this fixture.

Tom Green added his second of the game before Andrew Sargent and Mark Frampton found the onion bag. Graham Dodds claimed his first goal of the tournament for FC Dad but it was ultimately in a losing cause.

Club Tropicana Drinks FC went joint top (second on goal difference) with FC Dad still well placed in 3rd position.
