Game
10 saw group leaders JK Silvertown face the ever-spirited
Old Vipers in a meeting of top versus bottom in
Group A. On paper, the form guide heavily favoured
JK Silvertown, who had been flawless so far, while
the Americans were still searching for their first
points of the day. Yet, despite the difference
in records, both teams approached the game in
excellent spirits — Silvertown looking to maintain
their momentum, and the Vipers determined to keep
improving and make their mark on the tournament.
From
the outset, JK Silvertown showed exactly why they
sat at the summit of the group. Their movement,
passing and finishing were all at a high standard,
and the goals flowed freely throughout the contest.
Greg Wiles opened the scoring before Steven Starkey
and Niall Graham extended the lead. Starkey then
added his second of the game, while further goals
from Jamie Wallace and Jordan Wilson-Pritchard
rounded off a superb attacking display. It was
an emphatic performance from a team full of confidence
and quality.
Despite
the scoreline, there was a moment of real pride
for the Old Vipers as they found the net for the
first time in the tournament. Jon Stockill was
the man on the scoresheet, taking his chance well
to register the American side's first ever goal
in eurofootballfives.com competition. It was a
deserved reward for their perseverance and positive
approach throughout the group stage.
The
game finished 6-1 in favour of JK Silvertown,
who kept their 100% record intact and showcased
the depth of their attacking threat with goals
coming from all areas of the pitch. For the Old
Vipers, it was another tough outing against one
of the competition's strongest teams, but their
milestone goal ensured they left the match with
something to celebrate on their debut appearance.

Game
11 brought together Team PL Blue Boys and The
Warriors in a match that carried major significance
for both sides. The Polish team arrived in fine
form after back-to-back wins, while The Warriors
were looking to rediscover their early momentum
after a sequence of a win, draw, and defeat.
With both teams still chasing qualification
places, the stage was set for a tense and competitive
encounter.
The
match lived up to its billing as a tight, hard-fought
battle between two well-organised sides. Neither
team gave much away defensively, and clear chances
were few and far between. The Warriors, as always,
worked tirelessly and showed plenty of character,
but Team PL Blue Boys looked the more composed
side in possession, continuing to grow in confidence
as the group progressed.
Ultimately,
it was a single moment of quality that decided
the contest. Don Pablo produced the breakthrough,
finding the net with what proved to be the only
goal of the game. His strike sealed another
important victory for the Polish team, who showed
great discipline to protect their lead and see
out the result.
At
full-time, Team PL Blue Boys could celebrate
a third successive win — a result that strengthened
their grip on second place and confirmed their
rise as one of the form teams in Group A. For
The Warriors, it was another narrow defeat that
left them in a fight to secure Plate qualification,
though their determination and effort remained
unquestionable.

Game
12 saw Bristol Wanderers take on Athletico Charhad
Vets in a match that had plenty riding on it for
both sides. Bristol Wanderers were hoping to climb
into Plate qualification contention, while Athletico
Charhad Vets knew that only a win would keep them
within touching distance of the top two and potential
Cup football. With those stakes in mind, both
teams approached the contest with purpose and
determination.
From
the outset, it was Athletico Charhad Vets who
took control of proceedings. They moved the ball
with confidence and showed real attacking intent,
putting the Bristol defence under sustained pressure.
Their efforts were rewarded as James McGregor
opened the scoring before Danny McGhan doubled
the lead, giving the English side a comfortable
cushion. The Wanderers battled hard to stay in
the game, but Athletico's sharp finishing and
experience made the difference.
In
the second half, the Charhad Vets continued to
dominate and added two more goals to seal an emphatic
4-0 victory. Iman Fathi got on the scoresheet
before McGhan struck again to complete his brace
and round off another strong personal performance.
At the other end, goalkeeper Robert Jarrett was
once again in excellent form, keeping his third
clean sheet in four games as Athletico demonstrated
their balance between attacking quality and defensive
solidity.
For
Athletico Charhad Vets, it was the perfect result
to maintain their Cup qualification hopes and
reassert themselves as one of the leading sides
in Group A. Bristol Wanderers, meanwhile, found
themselves on the wrong end of the scoreline but
could take encouragement from their continued
effort and commitment against a very efficient
and in-form opponent.
