Easter Island FC came into Game 7 of Group A knowing that a win would elevate them to join those at the top of the Group A table on 6 points. They certainly rose to the occasion and it was poor Berkshirelona FC who were on the receiving end. From the first whistle, they dominated possession and applied constant pressure on a Berkshirelona FC side still searching for their first points of the tournament. The opening half was relentless, with Easter Island FC carving open the defence on numerous occasions, resulting in a 3-0 lead at halftime. Berkshirelona FC struggled to cope with the pace and precision of their opponents' attacking play, and although they tried to counter, they were unable to create any meaningful chances against a disciplined Easter Island FC backline. It must be said that Berkshirelona FC were struggling with injuries including to their goalkeeper.

The second half saw Easter Island FC continue to pile on the pressure, extending their lead with another goal to make it 4-0. Berkshirelona FC finally got on the scoresheet through Huw Williams, offering a glimmer of hope and a small consolation for their spirited efforts. However, Easter Island FC were relentless, adding three more goals to complete a 7-1 thrashing, this would prove to be the biggest win of the tournament. Tom Farrar netted a hat-trick (his second of the day), showcasing his predatory finishing, while Arthur Jebb, Alex Bennett, Simon Kirschner, and Michael Shortis all added to the tally, highlighting the team's collective strength in attack.

This emphatic victory not only secured three points but also sent a statement to the rest of Group A that Easter Island FC were serious contenders for the Cup. Their combination of attacking fluency, clinical finishing, and defensive organisation made them a formidable outfit. With this performance, Easter Island FC had not only climbed the table but also boosted their confidence (and goal difference) ahead of the crucial fixtures still to come.

Argon'ze A were making their fifth visit to the Barcelona Fives. Their most successful appearance to date was their third trip here in 2018. Argon'ze did pretty well in the group phase as they finished in second place in the table behind 2015 champions Club Esportiu de Llefia. They secured 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat from their 5 games to qualify for the Cup competition. They drew 1-1 with Red Light Runners in the QF and progressed via penalties. They went out in the Semi-Finals to AC Mazi 1996 – an outstanding Greek team. In 2018, they won their first 2 games before a defeat in their third fixture. A draw or win in this game would mark their most successful start to a eurofootballfives.com tournament.

Argon'ze A entered this match full of confidence from winning their opening two games and sitting at the top of Group A at the end of Round 2. Facing Team PL Blue Boys, who were still searching for consistency after a mixed start, the French side knew a win would solidify their position at the summit. The first half was competitive, but Argon'ze A showed greater composure in key areas. Alann Goerke opened the scoring before halftime, giving the French a 1-0 lead and control of the game. Team PL Blue Boys pressed for an equaliser but were unable to break down a well-organised Argon'ze defence.

The second half saw Argon'ze A assert their dominance even further. Alexis Badard, who had already been prolific in the opening rounds, added his fifth goal of the tournament to secure a 2-0 victory. This second goal not only confirmed the three points but also allowed Argon'ze A to regain the top spot in Group A, opening up a three-point gap over Easter Island FC & Cream of the South on goal difference. The French team's blend of tactical discipline, sharp finishing, and calmness under pressure highlighted why they were considered serious contenders for the Cup, and this victory set them up perfectly for the remaining group matches.

Just A Boy FC were making their first eurofootballfives.com appearance since the 2016 Riga Tournament and it's great to see them back on tour. Back in Riga, playing as Dry Hump FC they made an impressive start defeating FC Shark 3-1 before a 0-0 draw against CAP FC. They then suffered a 3-0 defeat to the eventual champions, L'Albiceleste of France. A 1-1 draw against Aliance and a 2-2 draw against Fail Madrid followed as they finished 3 rd in the table despite just 1 defeat. They qualified for the Plate competition and excelled. A 7-0 QF win over Yac Club preceded a 4-1 win over RAF Fylingdales in the SF. Despite being 1-0 down at half-time in the Plate Final they recovered to defeat Red Cow Belgrade 4-1 and lift the trophy.

Almost a decade on in Barcelona, Just A Boy FC came into this one still seeking their first victory of the day, but they showed early intent and determination against a Cream of the South side who had been in flying form. Cream of the South, enjoying their most successful eurofootballfives.com campaign to date, knew that a third successive win would see them go joint top with Argon'ze A. However, Just A Boy FC had clearly learned from their earlier games — they were more compact defensively and sharper in transition. Their persistence paid off when Ben Charles-Williams, who had found the net in the previous match, scored again to give them a 1-0 lead at half-time. It was a goal that gave Just A Boy FC belief and put the pressure firmly on Cream of the South to respond.

The second half saw Cream of the South with more of the ball but struggling to break down a disciplined Just A Boy FC backline. When Ed Massey struck to make it 2-0, it confirmed what was shaping up to be one of the surprise results of the group stage thus far. Cream of the South, who had been near flawless up to this point, found themselves slipping from 2nd to 3rd in the standings, while Just A Boy FC climbed into 4th and right back into contention for Cup qualification. It was a statement victory for Just A Boy FC — resilient, well-organised, and back in the hunt for the title.
