As we entered the fifth round of games each match was becoming progressively more important. Games were running out and points were becoming increasingly valuable.

This was especially true for FC C(h)ampagne who had played well today but only had two points and sixth place to show for their efforts so far. They were without a win but did have 2 draws from their 3 games. They were now up against PFC who were unbeaten in 4 matches with 10 points from a possible 12. PFC could extend their lead at the top to 7 points with a win here and all but guarantee Cup qualification.

The formbook suggested this was a Brazilian triumph but the Swiss team proved the formbook wrong with one of the standout results of the whole tournament. Teo Borne opened the scoring for FC C(h)ampagne before they had to settle for a period of defending. They then put the game to bed when Alex Forbes dispossessed the Brazilian goalkeeper just outside his area and duly converted the resulting chance to make it 2-0.

A late Gerson Teixeira goal made an uncomfortable end to the game but FC C(h)ampagne had enough in the tank to see out the game and claim a famous victory. Group B was wide open.

Semen Padang versus Dolce & Lallana was the next game on Pitch 2. The Dutch team were in a strong position in the table at the end of Round 4 and that position looked even better with the PFC (Bra) dropping points in the previous game. They were now 4 points behind with 2 games in hand on the league leaders.

They were up against a Dolce & Lallana team whose form was on the slide. Following two opening wins they had now slipped to two successive defeats. They were still level on points with Semen Padang but had played a game more. A win for the English team would reignite their quest for Cup qualification.

Neither team was able to find a way to win this game and for the second time in Group B we ended in stalemate at 0-0. It was a point each to both these teams. For Dolce & Lallana it stopped the rot of two defeats. For Semen Padang it consolidated third position. However, the happiest teams would've been PFC whose defeat had not really cost them and Lindfield FC who now had a chance to join these two on 7 points and make it a 4-horse race for the Cup qualification spots.

Game 15 of Group B and what a big game this was for Lindfield FC. They had moved from 7th to 4th position after their last win and now had a great opportunity to surge up the table again. The three teams above them had all failed to win in Round 5 so Lindfield FC could take advantage and put themselves in prime position to make the Cup and win their first eurofootballfives.com title.

Lindfield FC were up against Bugiels Athletic whose form was loss-draw-loss but if Bugiels could win then they'd go level on points with their opponents.

Lindfield FC had destroyed Dolce & Lallana last time out (5-1) and were hungry for more goals here. Ruari Farrell scored for the second game in a row before Stu Brown made it 2-0. Fresh from his hat-trick, Louis Pople contributed a third and final goal as Lindfield FC had gone from 7th to 4th and now 2nd in the space of Rounds 4 & 5. They had the momentum behind them in Group B.
