Round 2 began with the 7th and final team in Group B to get underway. It was Lindfield FC who would start their campaign against Semen Padang. The Dutch team had lost 2-0 to the 2017 champions (PFC) in their opening game and this game didn't look to be any easier.

Lindfield FC competed at the 2022 Mallorca Fives and went all the way to the final with their A team. They topped an extremely tight group with just 2 points separating Lindfield FC in first and Bayern Badonde in fifth of 6 teams. Lindfield FC produced 2 wins (3-0 v Squirrel Squad, 8-1 v Bayern Badonde) and 3 draws (2-2 v AFC Blue Boys, 1-1 v Las Zacarenas, 1-1 v Urbansport) to win Group A on goal difference. They moved through the gears in the knockout phase as they despatched Malo Guerreros 9-0 in the QF and Switzerland's Luca Toni FC 6-1 in the SF. They set-up a Cup Final against Ecuador 100% who were looking to retain their title. At 1-1 it was game on but two quickfire second half goals won the title for the Ecuadorians.

Lindfield FC looked to have picked up where they left off in Spain as they lead 1-0 through Stu Brown. However, Semen Padang launched a stunning comeback. Thomas Jans equalized before Fay Bitous struck a winner. A great victory for the Dutch team.

Game 5 of Group B was to be FC C(h)ampagne versus Dolce & Lallana. The Swiss team had made a solid start with a 1-1 draw against RAF2 whilst Dolce & Lallana had opened up with all 3 points against Bugiels Athletic.

Dolce and Lallana made their debut just 11 months ago at the 2022 Amsterdam Sixes and took to European football like a duck to water. They made an instant impact with a 3-1 win over recently crowned Amsterdam Sevens champions, Humble Goats. This was quickly followed up with a 5-1 win over Whiteley FC and a 2-1 win over Colden Hommodore. A small blip saw them draw 2-2 with LFFC (Fra) but they were back to winning ways to sign off the group in style 3-0 versus FC Kicks – the reigning Amsterdam Fives champions. When it came to the Cup Semi-Finals we had four really strong teams and all looked capable of winning the title. Dolce and Lallana met Ball Bashers and lost 3-1 to the eventual champions.

Here in Lisbon they made another win-win start to the tournament with a 1-0 victory thanks to a second goal of the tournament from Thomas Forster. Dolece & Lallana were top of the table.

To complete Round 2 we had PFC (Bra) versus RAF2 (Por). This was only the second meeting between these two teams in our tournaments despite PFC competing here since 2017 and RAF since 2019. Back in 2019 the two teams drew 0-0 in the group phase of the competition (RAF were called Hellgarve's Kraken at the time).

That year PFC reached the Cup Final and finished runners-up on penalties whilst Hellgarve's Kraken won the Plate competition. We expected another strong showing from both teams today.

PFC had already won their opening game (2-0 v Semen Padang) and looked they could be on their way to another victory as the opened the scoring here with Gerson Teixeira's first goal of the day. RAF2 had seen a 1-0 lead slip in their first game but roles were reversed here as they staged a comeback to level at 1-1. Nicola Nalvez the man who scored the vital goal and earn a very good point against strong opposition.
