Odmienowie FC (Eng)

The 2016 Krakow Trophy Wooden Spoon Final was the battle for 17 th position, a consolation prize and one last game to enjoy on these team's Krakow tour.

The game would be contested by Maverick FC and Odmienowie FC. Maverick FC came into the game as the 17th ranked team courtesy of a superior goal difference to their opponents. Both teams had found the back of the net 3 times this morning with Maverick FC conceding 18 to Odmienowie FC's 23. Did this make Maverick FC slight favourites?

It looked that way as goals from Tom Lothian, Shaun Barwick and Will Gubbins enabled Maverick FC to forge a 3-1 lead at half-time. They had doubled their goals tally for the day in the first half here. A Chris Galvin goal gave Odmienowie FC something to cling on to and potentially stage a second half comeback.

A second half comeback became less likely when Tom Lothian made it 4-1 and Sean Barwick made it 5-1. Barwick would finish his team's top goalscorer on the day with 4 goals. A comeback of sorts did follow as Chris Galvin bagged a second half brace to complete a hat-trick and reduce the deficit to 5-3. It took Chris Galvin's haul to the day to 5 goals. Alas, for Odmienowie FC, time was against them and the referee drew the game to a conclusion.

Congratulations to Maverick FC who finished the day how they would've liked to have started it and they took the Wooden Spoon prize. Our commiserations to Odmienowie FC who we trust had a great day at the Krakow Trophy and also a great weekend in this stunning Polish city.
