TNF were the team to sit out the second round of fixtures so they had a game in hand over most of the teams in Group A. They currently sat at the foot of the table after a narrow 2-1 defeat in Round 1. Their opponents at the start of Round 3 were Beijing Rockets who'd begun with a 100% record – 2 wins from 2.

TNF played in their first eurofootballfives.com tournament here at the 2016 Barcelona Fives as John Laing. They drew the proverbial group of death and finished 3rd of 8 teams behind eventual champions Elcombe Old Boys (in 2nd) and Me Toca Tirar who travelled from Madrid. Third place saw John Laing qualify for the Plate. They met Drunk Perfect in the Quarter Finals and drew 0-0 before progressing 4-3 on penalties. They then met the 2015 Cup champions, Club Esportiu Llefia, in the Semi-Finals and went out 2-0.

7 years on and with a much-changed squad they would be taking on the Veterans tournament for the first time. They fell behind to a Beijing Rockets team who were looking more and more like potential champions with Simon Malyon the latest member of their squad to get on the scoresheet. Nick Petman bagged a brace in Round 1 and he added his third of the tournament to extend Beijing Rockets lead to 2-0.

Steven Kerr of TNF then became the first man to score against Nick Kingston-Smith in the Beijing Rockets goal to reduce the arrears to 2-1. 2-1 was how it finished as this game followed the same pattern as Round 1 for TNF. Two good performances but two 2-1 defeats. Beijing Rockets had opened up a 5 point lead at the top.

Game 8 of Group A saw 6th-placed Lucanos Locos from Poland entertain 5th-placed Atletico Funk from England, with both teams aiming to assert themselves in the highly competitive group. Lucanos Locos had played only one game prior to this fixture, while all other teams in the group had participated in at least two matches. Although early, it was a crucial encounter for both sides as they sought to make their mark in the tournament.

The match began with Lucanos Locos showing their intent early on and the pressure paid off when Pawel Zablocki broke the deadlock. Lucanos Locos looked to dominate the proceedings and put themselves in a commanding position when Szymon Holona slotted home to double the Lucanos Locos' lead.

Atletico Funk attempted to regroup and create opportunities of their own. However, their efforts were thwarted by Lucanos Locos' organized defense and brilliant goalkeeping as they went on to keep their first clean sheet of the day. At the other end, Daniel Kuty added another goal to the tally, making it 3-0 in favor of Lucanos Locos.

The final whistle blew, the 3-0 victory for Lucanos Locos propelled them to 3rd position in the group standings. Atletico Funk, on the other hand, slipped a place down to 6th, leaving them with much work to do in the group.

JK Silvertown were joining us for a fourth time on tour and in Barcelona for the first time following a hat-trick of Amsterdam appearances . Their best performances were in the 2017 and 2018 Amsterdam Fives where they reached the Cup Semi-Finals on both occasions.

In 2017 they secured second place in the group table behind Vieze Vu (Hol). Vieze Vu finished 2nd in the Fives and also won the Sixes (as Toros). They progressed to the Cup Quarter-Finals and beat Club Atlantico Nationale, 2-0. They then met BSP FC who were on fire at this stage en route to the title. JK Silvertown were unable to halt their progress and went out 6-1.

12 months later in 2018. They got off to a flyer with a 5-3 win over defending Plate champions, SC Sylt (Ger) and 6-1 over FC Fylde OB B. Their progress was checked by We Pay People who won 5-1 and a 3-3 draw with Wandsworth Athletic. They finished off the group with a win (2-1) over Some Like it Scott. They finished third in the table to qualify for the Cup. In the Cup Quarter-Finals they got their revenge on We Pay People (3-1) but went out in the Semi-finals for a second successive year. They were defeated by Melee FC who went on to lift their second eurofootballfives.com title.

Today they had opened up with two draws so, whilst they remained unbeaten, they found themselves in mid-table. They were one place and one point behind their opposition in Round 3, Bure Park Seniors. Bure Park Seniors had won 1 and lost 1 to date. It was the Bure Park boys who would forge ahead. Ian Mansley, an ever-present across 13 tours, struck first to put his side ahead. It was the first time JK Silvertown had trailed today. Bure Park Seniors doubled the lead with Nathan Vicentijevic's second goal of the day. There was a clean sheet for Darren Campo and his defence as Bure Park Seniors ran out 2-0 winners. It put them second in the table and represented a great start for them.
