The third round of matches saw Bullets FC take on El Cholo in a crucial encounter. Bullets FC had secured one point from their previous two matches, while El Cholo had won their opening game but suffered a defeat in their second match. A victory for either team would propel them into the top half of the table and boost their chances of progressing further in the tournament.

Right from the start, both teams exhibited great determination and intensity, as they sought to gain an early advantage. El Cholo's Mehdi Al Khalili, who had been a consistent goal scorer for his team in the tournament so far, continued his impressive form. Al Khalili found the back of the net, putting El Cholo ahead and giving them a 1-0 lead.

In the second half, El Cholo continued to showcase their attacking prowess. Jiias Hadira added to their lead, finding the net and doubling their advantage to 2-0. The goal provided El Cholo with a comfortable cushion as they aimed to secure all three points.

Bullets FC fought hard to find a way back into the match, but El Cholo's defense remained resolute. Despite their efforts, Bullets FC was unable to breach El Cholo's defense, and the match concluded with a final score of 2-0. It was El Cholo's second clean sheet of the day. The victory not only earned them three crucial points but also helped them climb into the top half of the table.

We would turn our attentions to the top of the table for the next game. The next fixture would be Foot 130 versus Abington Stanley. Foot 130 had a 100% win record so far and had scored 9 goals without reply. Their Fives team had also won both their games so Foot 130 were looking like the team to beat.

Abington Stanley had looked good so far. Despite a narrow 1-0 loss in their first game they responded well with a 4-0 win over Cheesecake FC last time out. They moved up to third place in the table but had slipped a place due to El Cholo's win in the previous fixture. Given the first two results for Foot 130, Abington Stanley may well take a draw from this game and look to progress up the table in their other remaining fixtures. However, they were gunning for the win. With the game seemingly heading towards half-time at 0-0 Abington Stanley were caught with men forward and Foot 130 hit them on the break with Maxime Remesy converting for 1-0.

A close fought second half so no further addition to the score and the match finished with Foot 130 collecting their third successive win although this was no doubt the hardest one to date. For Abington Stanley it was another good performance but a second narrow loss meant the table did not necessarily reflect their form.

Game #9 of Group A would be Cheesecake FC versus Uden Filter. Cheesecake FC had tasted eurofootballfives.com success before when they were victorious at the 2014 Mallorca Tournament. Today though they had struggled with two 4-0 defeats. They had three survivors from that 2014 triumph in Spain with Justin Rees, Mark Hignett and Mark Nordenfeldt amongst their number. For this tournament they were an Anglo-Dutch partnership with 5 travelling English players, 5 local Dutch players co-ordinated by an Australian – the player with the most miles under his belt to be here today.

Uden Filter had finished Round 2 in second place in the table and remained unbeaten with four points out of six. They had seen El Cholo move above them but this was their game in hand. They could return to second position in the table with a win here and further their claim for Cup qualification. They would no doubt fancy their chances against the team at the foot of the table.

Cheesecake FC had so far been competitive in the first half of games but had been unable to prevent themselves going into half-time 1-0 down and history was to repeat itself. Uden Filter's Emre Silva was the man in this game to penetrate the Cheesecake defence in the opening period. Cheesecake FC had shipped goals after the break and they were in familiar territory again as Andreas Talarek and then Mohammad Shabban Hussain extended that lead to 3-0.

When the referee drew time on proceedings it was a third loss for Cheesecake FC. For Uden Filter it was a solid professional victory that saw them climb into second position and they were just two points off Foot 130 as the summit of Group A.
