We began Round 4 with FC Dad versus Humble Goats. This represented a really tough game for the English side as they were up against the two times Amsterdam Sevens winners, Humble Goats. The Dutch team won the Sevens in 2022 and 2023 so they were bang in form with the Sevens played just two weeks ago. In those two tournament victories they were unbeaten in 14 games having conceded just two goals in that whole time (1 in 2022, 1 in 2023). In the Sixes today they were looking just as capable with three wins from three.

FC Dad could not be discounted as both teams were currently on a run of 10 games unbeaten. They started the round as the top two. Humble Goats currently had a 4 point lead at the summit of Group A and they could secure the Group win with victory here. It started well with Ronald Kevin Aquilar putting them 1-0 up before half-time.

After the change of ends Humble Goats moved through the gears with Wissam Albarho making it 2-0. There was then a sensational moment as Jamal Aissa, the Humble Goats goalkeeper, lobbed his opposing number with a shot from just outside his own penalty area. 3-0 became 4-0 with Rafael Hernandez maintaining his goal per game record. There was a moment of respite for FC Dad with James Alawi reducing arrears to 4-1. Humble Goats captain Deyae El Kanfoundi had the final say with a power shot from distance. It was to be last kick of the game, 5-1.

In Game 11 of Group A we had Boca Seniors versus FLA. This was a battle between the teams currently occupying the mid-table positions. With FC Dad's defeat in the previous match there was an opportunity for the winner of this game to move up to second position.

The first half kicked off with both teams displaying determination and tactical discipline. Boca Seniors showcased the resilience in defence they had shown all day with just 1 goal conceded so far in the tournament. FLA, on the other hand, sought to break the deadlock by applying consistent pressure and creating scoring opportunities.

Despite their best efforts, neither side managed to find the back of the net in the first half. The break seemed to invigorate FLA, as they emerged with renewed determination. They increased the intensity of their attacks and the pressure eventually paid off. FLA's Jac Evans capitalized on a well-executed team move, finding the back of the net and breaking the deadlock. They later extended their lead when Reon Hodgson scored his second of the tournament. Hodgson's goal added to FLA's advantage and put the match beyond the reach of their opponents.

As the final whistle blew, FLA celebrated a well-deserved 2-0 victory over Boca Seniors which moved them up into the Cup qualification places.

To complete Round 4 we had Santos Lagoon Squad versus FC Kicks. A week after winning the 2022 Amsterdam Fives, FC Kicks found life more difficult at the 2022 Amsterdam Sixes. They suffered an opening game defeat to LFFC (Fra) before getting their first point on the board in a 0-0 draw with Colden Hommodore (Ned). They then lost 4-0 to the Amsterdam Sevens champions, Humble Goats before picking up their first win (2-0) over Whiteley FC. When their final game came around other results meant they were unable to qualify for the knockout phase and they lost 3-0 to group winners Dolce & Lallana.

It was a similar story today with them being unable to recreate their Fives form with 1 win and 2 defeats thus far. They now had the opportunity to put that right against a Santos Lagoon Squad who were looking for their first goal and points of the day. The English team knew they couldn't afford to lose this game otherwise knock-out football would be mathematically beyond them. Things didn't start well with Joost Ropen bagging his second goal of the competition to put FC Kicks 1-0 up at half-time.

As things stood FC Kicks would move up to third place in the table and just a point off second position so their chances of the title were still very much alive. They strengthened their position further with a goal from Suraj Katuria. The match finished 2-0 to FC Kicks and would give them momentum going into the final round of fixtures.
