We began Round 4 with We Pay People versus Fylde FC Old Boys B. It was joint top versus joint bottom. We Pay People had a cherished 100% win record. Fylde FC Old Boys B had an unwanted 100% loss record.

We Pay People (Hol) played in the 2016 Amsterdam Fives and found it tough going early on. A 1-0 defeat to The Rain Dragons was followed by a 3-2 loss to Spider Mans Ressies. A 4-2 win over Dick Farts FC got them back on track but they slipped to another defeat at the end of the group phase – 4-0 to Spain United. They qualified for the Plate competition where they suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Indonesia FC to exit the competition.

We Pay People also competed at the 2017 Amsterdam Fives and enjoyed a more successful group phase with 3 wins from 5 games as three teams finished level on 9 points. We Pay People finished fourth on goal difference but were unable to take their place in the Plate competition as they had to withdraw due to injuries.

It seemed We Pay People were much stronger today both in performance and in terms of fitness. They were made to work hard for their victory here and certainly harder than the league table suggested. They lead 2-1 at half-time as Tom Reurts and Michel Raven goals put them in the ascendency. Liam Errington scored only the second goal of the day against the Dutch team.

The fourth goal of this game would prove crucial. Tom Reurts goal for We Pay People ended Fylde FC hopes of a comeback. The two teams' 100% records continued.

In Game 11 of Group A we had SC Sylt versus Some Like It Scott.

SC Sylt made their eurofootballfives.com debut here in Amsterdam 12 months ago. It was a successful debut for the team from Nuremburg as they went home with the Plate trophy and winners' medals.

In the group phase they won 3 of 5 games and finished joint 2nd in terms of points in Group B. Goal difference meant they ended up third and would play in the Plate rather than the Cup. There was a thumping 9-1 win in the Quarter-Finals before a tight Semi-Final that saw them draw 0-0 with Spain's Naranjitos. SC Sylt progressed 3-2 on penalties. The Plate Final was another close affair, 3-3 versus FC Potsdam. Penalties won the day again, 2-0.

Some Like It Scott were from the same travelling group as FC Potsdam last year so this could be considered a bit of a revenge match. However, the FC Potsdam players from 2017 were scattered amongst the Drop It Like It's Scott and Scott Doesn't Know squads. SC Sylt were facing a fresh squad.

SC Sylt had surprisingly struggled today and their struggles were set to continue. Christopher John scored the only goal of a first half to put Some Like It Scott ahead. In the second half more goals flowed with Alex Redfern (x2) moving on to 4 for the tournament and Harry Ashman also on target.

A Rene Reizammer goal was scant consolation for SC Sylt. Full time, 1-4.

To complete Round 4 we had Wandsworth Athletic versus JK Silvertown. Wandsworth Athletic had 9 points from a possible 9. If they could secure a fourth successive win they would secure Cup qualification with a game to spare. They would also move level with We Pay People on 12 points at the top.

This was a pivotal game for JK Silvertown. A defeat would leave them somewhat stranded in mid-table although still with hopes of Cup qualification if they could win their final game. A win would move them level with their opponents and almost assure them of Cup football this afternoon.

This was an epic contest as the teams matched each other blow for blow. The teams found themselves level at half-time, 2-2. At full-time they could still not be separated as we finished at 3-3. It was a game for each teams' top scorer to flex their muscle. Andy Michel secured his first hat-trick of the day as he moved on to 7 for the tournament. Chris Wright added a brace as he moved on to 9 goals for the tournament. Both men were very much in with a chance of today's golden boot award. Ben Short was the other man on target for JK Silvertown.
