The first game of Round 2 saw Big Gay Al's SSF take on Stadtrandkicker 08 of Germany. The men in pink (Big Gay Al's SSF) had started off well with a solid draw and were looking to build on this whilst the men in Argentina colours (Stadtrandkicker 08) needed to avenge an opening game defeat.

There was very little between the two teams in the opening period and the scorers were untroubled as the first half remained goal-less. We were blessed with goals in the second half but still the two teams could not be separated as the teams shared a goal each and earned a point each.

There was a first goal of the day for Alan Hitchcock of Big Gay Al's SSF and, similarly, Christian Behrnd grabbed his first of the day for Stadtrandkicker 08. It was a second successive 1-1 draw for Big Gay Al's SSF who slowly but surely were making progress in the table to 4th. Stadtrandkicker 08 broke their points duck and sat in 5th place.

Next up was GBS Reds against FC Cobaltslautern. For teams that were making their 8th and 10th tournament appearances respectively it was maybe a surprise that this was the first meeting between the two teams and it was an important one. The Czechs needed to get their campaign up and running and the English needed to build on their opening point – a win would do wonders for both teams chances in Group B.

What we got was a goal frenzy – five goals in the first half alone and it was GBS Reds who bagged the lions share to lead 4-1. The second half followed a similar pattern and when the final whistle blew it was 9-2.

The main thorn in the CSF side for GBS Reds was Wilco Weldhuizen who scored 5 whilst Achille Anague scored for the second game running with a hat-trick. Anis Ketab also found the net in a highly proficient attacking display.

In amongst all the madness Alex Thomas grabbed 2 goals to take his tally to 3 but it was a heavy defeat for FC Cobaltslautern who were now bottom of the table.

The final game of Group B was an intriguing affair between two teams who currently topped the table with opening game wins. Another win here would not only represent a great start to the tournament but would give them a 3 point lead in the table. Bafta Boys and East Compton Eagles played out a thoroughly entertaining game which although tight and competitive had plenty of goals to enjoy.

In the first half they shared a goal each as Joe Bardwell (Bafta Boys) and Andy Cockrean (East Compton Eagles) cancelled each other out. The second half kicked off at 1-1 and ended 2-2 as the teams shared another goal each with Tom Lambourne (Bafta Boys) and Andy Cockrean again cancelling each other out.

The draw kept things tight with both teams level at the top, Bafta Boys had the edge on goal difference. GBS Reds were just a point behind in 3rd.
