Group D was really hotting up as we entered Round 4 and it was especially tight at the top. Match 10 of the group was Policia Local against We've Got Wood. There was three teams locked together on 6 points in 2nd to 4th position and two of these teams would now come face to face. We've Got Wood had remained in third position throughout Group D and now was a chance to climb up the table.

Policia Local had been second, then top but had slipped three places down the snake to fourth after defeat to Brioche FS last time out. A win here would see them climb back up the ladder.

These two teams had met before. 12 months ago Policia Local had emerged victorious, 1-0, when the two teams in Group B. They would go 1-0 up in this one too when Roberto Mir Crispi scored his second goal of this year's tournament. It would not finish 1-0 this year though as Antonio Bullon Pujol put the game safe at 2-0 in the second half.

It was a big win for Policia Local who were well-placed for Cup qualification. It would now be difficult for We've Got Wood to achieve that same feat.

That left us with the final two teams yet to play their fourth fixture – Charlie Let Us Down Again and Brioche FS. It was becoming crunch time in Group D and Brioche FS could seal Cup qualification with victory. If Charlie Let Us Down Again could claim victory then it would be three times tied on 9 points going into the final round. This was arguably the biggest game of Group D to date.

Brioche FS had been in imperious form so far with 3 wins out of 3, scoring for fun with 10 goals and conceding 4 in the process. Charlie Let Us Down Again lost their first game narrowly (2-1) but since then had recorded two wins on the bounce and they would fancy their chances here. It was the English team who wrestled the initiative from their opponents in the first half as Ed Hill-Smith scored a crucial goal to give his side a 1-0 lead.

How would Brioche FS respond? Pretty well is the answer. The second half kicked off with Charlie Let Us Down Again still leading but parity was restored when Cheema Molina equalized for Brioche FS. Santiago Caballero was yet to score today but he popped up at the perfect time to claim the goal that would put Brioche FS 2-1 up. It ultimately proved to be the winning goal and Brioche FS maintained their 100% record – but they were made to work for it.

It was a great effort from Charlie Let Us Down Again but they came away pointless. They did, however, climb into third place on goal difference above We've Got Wood. Every cloud…..
