With their first games under their belts it was Round 2 for all the teams in Group A and time to settle in to the tournament.

Inter Hoddesdon came into the game looking to bounce back from Round 1 defeat and kickstart their campaign. Jackson's Five were looking to build on an opening game point and put behind them the disappointment of conceding a dodgy equaliser against Urban Sport.

It was Inter Hoddesdon who drew first blood though. Toby Cleaver was the man who had the honour of scoring their first goal of the tournament and their first goal in Europe. His strike was enough to see Inter Hodddesdon into a 1-0 half-time lead.

In the second period Toby Cleaver was on the score-sheet again as he doubled the advantage for Inter Hoddesdon. Sam Hoxhaj then opened his personal account as he put the game to bed making it 3-0. There was a clean sheet for Angelo Cappalonga which capped a fine team performance. They were the biggest movers in Round 2 as they moved up from 6th to 3rd position in the table.

Next up on Pitch A was Ben versus Urban Sport . Ben opened up with a 1-0 win and could consolidate a fine start to the tournament if they could claim victory #2 here. From an Urban Sport perspective, they rescued a point from being a goal down in Round 1 so if they could build on that moment and claim their first win then they would move above Ben in the table.

In the opening period it was team Ben that broke the deadlock. Ben Renshaw shaped to shoot before sliding through a delightful through ball for Clement Verven to finish from close range. It was the only goal of the first half and so the English team held the advantage at the break. In the second half, Ben Renshaw went from provider to scorer as his goal gave his side a 2 goal cushion and clinched another 3 points for his team.

To complete Round 2 we had Bluewater Training versus Bar Maruru. This was a game between a first game loser and a first game victor respectively. If Bar Maruru were to take a second win they would join Ben at the summit of Group A and leave Bluewater Training at the foot of the table. If Bluewater Training could turn the tables it would make things really tight with just two points separating second to sixth.

It was Bar Maruru who forged ahead though with Farid Echanghoufi putting his team 1-0 up. It was Echanghoufi's first goal of the day and meant his team would lead 1-0 at half-time.

The second half was a close contest, as the first half had been, with little to choose between the two teams. Bar Maruru were unable to add to their lead, Bluewater Training were unable to find an equalizer. Bluewater Training had lost their previous 4 eurofootballfives.com fixtures but 3 of them were by a solitary goal. This was to continue here with 5 successive defeats and now 4 by the odd goal. Surely their luck would have to change soon!

It was a great start for Bar Maruru though. They had 6 points and shared the lead with Ben at the top of Group A.
