Going into the final round of games it was do or die now for these six teams. First up was The Crazy Gang versus Spider Mans & Eagle.

Spider Mans & Eagle found themselves somewhat unfortunately in fifth position having lost just one out of their four games to date. They knew that defeat would consign them to the Trophy competition. Another draw might be enough to see them climb into the Plate competition (if Two Balls One Touch lost their final game). A win would see them reach the Plate if Two Balls One Touch failed to win their final match.

The Crazy Gang knew their fate would lie in the Trophy competition but a win could see them leapfrog their opponents with a significant swing in goal difference but most likely they would finish sixth. A positive result would no doubt be a huge fillip for them and give them a boost going into the knock-out phase.

At half-time the teams turned around level at 0-0. The result wasn't particularly great for either (particularly Spider Mans & Eagle's hopes of reaching the Plate) and so there was still much to play for in the second half. The game was primed for someone to become a hero – it was not to be a goal-scoring hero though as both defences remained on top and the game finished 0-0.

For The Crazy Gang it meant a first point in Europe and a first clean sheet on tour. For Spider Mans & Eagle they would move up to fourth on goal difference and would hope for Two Balls One Touch to lose in order to qualify for the Plate.

So, just two more games to go in Group B and the penultimate fixture was Boa Hora against BUILDers. This was a battle between the top two teams and the last remaining unbeaten teams in Group B. If both were to remain unbeaten and this game was to end in a draw then Boa Hora would be crowned Group B champions. This would naturally also be the case if they were to win. BUILDers could claim the Group B title with a win of their own.

This was not just a two horse race as with PPB on 7 points the losers of this game would be vulnerable to missing out on the Cup should PPB win their final game. If this game was to be a draw then PPB would have to win their final game to reach second place at the expense of BUILDers.

We reached half-time level at 0-0 and should this stay the same then PPB would very much have their fate in their own hands. Boa Hora and BUILDers only had one half of football left to seal their own destiny. There was to be a winner in the second half and it was to be BUILDers who would claim all 3 points. Cometh the hour, cometh the man and that man was Joel Hanley who scored with the outside of the boot from his own half – some goal to seal your team's place in the Cup and win the Group B title.

Many congratulations to BUILDers who also finished the group unbeaten – but would Boa Hora join them?

The final game of Group B was Two Balls One Touch versus PPB. Two Balls One Touch were on an upward trajectory of form putting two opening defeats behind them to register 4 points from 6 since. PPB had seen their form falter somewhat having won their first two games but taken just 1 point from 6 since.

Two Balls One Touch had little to play for in terms of the final standings as they were guaranteed to finish at least fourth and were unlikely to finish third unless they won here by a big score – even then, they would qualify for the Plate. However, they would want to keep their unbeaten run going.

PPB still had the possibility of qualifying for the Cup if they could take all 3 points. They would then move on to 10 points – level with Boa Hora – and 2 nd place would be decided on goal difference. Boa Hora had a +10 goal difference whilst PPB currently had a +5 goal difference so a 5 goal winning margin was required.

PPB started well on their quest for a five goal win and opened up a 2-0 lead by half-time. Tiago Iambas and Joao Betendo both scored for the Portuguese teams. Another 3 goals in the second half would see them oust Boa Hora in second position and PPB would qualify for the Cup.

Two Balls One Touch had other ideas though. Russell Jacobs got himself on the scoresheet to reduce the deficit to 2-1 and then again to make it 2-2. It was a fine comeback for Two Balls One Touch who earned a point and stretched their unbeaten run to 3 games. Perfect form to take into the Plate competition.

PPB would be joining Two Balls One Touch in the Plate which meant Boa Hora would be joining BUILDers in the Cup.
