Where's Dave? (Eng)

We had two unbeaten teams to kick us off in Round 2 as Fidelidade met Frank Hirth A. Fidelidade were the only team to grab victory in the first round of fixtures. Their opponents Frank Hirth A were unbeaten in 5 group phase games in eurofootballfives.com competition and only had 1 defeat in 8 eurofootballfives.com games overall.

The game promised to be an enthralling encounter and so it proved with very little between the teams in the opening exchanges. When the referee blew his whistle for half-time there was parity between the teams but no goals, 0-0.

Goals change games (obvious but true) and the first goal of this game swung proceedings in favour of the Portuguese side. Nuno Bojaca broke the deadlock before Vitor Deus doubled the money for Fidelidade and they were set fair for their second victory of the day.

It was disappointment for Frank Hirth A but they still had 3 games remaining to stake their claim for Cup qualification.

In the next game we had Indoorsoccer looking for their first victory. They were due to face Ealing Expendables. Both teams had claimed a draw from their opening games.

Earlier, we promised a fuller preview of Ealing Expendables who kicked off their eurofootballfives.com journey at the 2014 Valencia Fives and made an impressive start to life in Europe. They won Group C with four wins from four games to qualify for the Cup competition. They emerged victorious from a 10-goal thriller in the Quarter-Finals seeing off Real L'Bourne 6-4. There were goals aplenty in their Semi-Final too but this time they were on the wrong end of a 7-3 scoreline to Spain's Penethinaikos.

Indoorsoccer made the early running in this game as they forged ahead through Andre Medalha. It was to get even better for the home side when Joao Farinha put them in firm control of this game. At half-time it was 2-0 to Indoorsoccer and they were in a commanding position.

That position was not too commanding in the second half when Ben Esprit reduced the deficit to 2-1 and it was game on. Ben Esprit had enjoyed a sensational start to the day with two goals in two games. Indoorsoccer had enough in the tank to prevent Ealing Expendables completing the comeback and the Portuguese moved into second place in the Group A table.

The final game of Round 2 was Spider Mans & Great Hawk against Where's Dave? Spider Mans & Great Hawk were looking to build on their opening game draw. Where's Dave? opened up with a defeat against a strong looking Fidelidade and were looking to kickstart their campaign with their first three points.

Both these teams competed at the 2014 Bratislava Fives and there was some history between the two groups. In Group D, Spider Mans & Eagle defeated Where's Dave's? sister squad, Saga Louts, 2-0. In the opening period here we were locked together in with neither team able to find a way past their opposing defence.

We kicked off the second half at 0-0 but goals were to follow. It was Paul Williams of Spider Mans & Great Hawk who broke the stalemate. 1-0 became 2-0 when Andy Cook looked to seal the points for his team.

There was to be no further goals in the second half and the win for Spider Mans & Great Hawk put them in a share of second place at the top of Group A. Where's Dave? had succumbed by the same 2-0 score that Saga Louts had 12 months ago.
