JNJ Medical Russia take the 2016 JNJ Euro Soccer Tournament in Krakow!

eurofootballfives.com were honoured to be chosen to organise and host the Johnson & Johnson Euro Soccer Tournament for the fifth consecutive year. After events in Prague (x2), Budapest and Bratislava the event rolled on to Krakow for 2016. 14 teams from the Czech Republic, England, Poland, Portugal, Russia and the UAE converged to compete in this popular event.

We had 54 games of football to enjoy and when the referee blew the final whistle in the Cup Final it was JNJ Medical Russia who emerged victorious. They added the 2016 title to their triumph in Budapest in 2013. The statistics would bear out the fact they were worthy winners - top scoring team and the least goals conceded. They were made to work hard for it in the Cup Final against Synthes UK 1 who finished runners-up for the second time after also coming close to victory at the Bratislava 2014 event.

In the Plate competition it was GBS Reds who claimed their first Plate win at the JNJ Euro Soccer Tournament (to add to Plate wins at eurofootballfives.com 2010 Prague Trophy and 2012 Berlin Fives). GBS Reds (Cze) defeated Janssen Portugal 4-2 in the Plate Final. Janssen Portugal were a great addition to the tournament and celebrated in the presentation as if they had won the World Cup and/or Champions League.

The individual honours went to Jacek Banas of JNJ Poland who won the top goalscorer award with 13 goals for the tournament - a very impressive total from his 7 games.

Well done to everyone for an amazing day of competition and thank you to all teams who participated and played the tournament in such a great spirit and atmosphere. We hope to see you all again soon.
