The next game in Group B saw Budapest Celtic Lions of Hungary take on A Magyar Pekseg of Sweden. A Magyar Pekseg had just come up against Olympic Phil Babb so were hoping for an easier game – they didn't get it though. Budapest Celtic Lions came into the game on the back of their first victory and they kept this form going into this match.

By half-time they were 3-0 up. Another half later and the full time score was 7-0. It was a resounding victory for the Hungarian side and saw them go top on goal difference (although Olympic Phil Babb had a game in hand). The goals were shared around with Cillian O'Donoghue (2), Kevin Vernooij (2), Neil Evans (2) and Mark Ryan all finding the net.

The game in hand for Olympic Phil Babb was against Whiteley FC who had slipped into 3rd place due to Budapest Celtic's win. A Whiteley FC win would throw the group wide open but it would be a tough ask – it was a task they applied themselves to well though as there was not a lot between the two teams in this game.

At the final whistle it was a solitary first-half strike that separated the two sides as Martin Hinks gave Olympic Phil Babb all three points with a 1-0 victory. The win put them back on top with a maximum 9 points out of 9. The result, despite a good performance, was damaging for Whiteley FC as they now needed a win and hope Budapest Celtic would lose in order to qualify for the Cup.

Game 8 of Group B saw Real So So Bad meet A Magyar Pekseg. Real So So Bad could still theoretically make the Cup if they won their final two games. A Magyar Pekseg were looking for their first win to give them faint hope of reaching the Plate competition.

At half-time we were no nearer to finding out the destination of the points as the teams were locked at 0-0. It was a better performance for the Swedish as they reflected their first game form. Sadly for them the second half form went the way of their second and third games as they shipped three goals without reply. Jonny Wray scored first before Brazilian loan signing Diego Moreira made it 2-0. It was Wray again for 3-0. The result condemned A Magyar Pekseg to the Wooden Spoon whereas Real So So Bad climbed above Whiteley FC into 3rd.

Game 9 saw 2nd versus 4th in this incredibly tight group as Budapest Celtic Lions hosted Whiteley FC. The home team realistically only needed a draw due to goal difference but required a win to put their Cup qualification beyond doubt. Whiteley FC would need to win by 5 goals to leapfrog their opponents otherwise they were in the Plate.

Although Whiteley FC needed the big win it was Budapest Celtic Lions who banged in the goals. With every goal Whiteley FC's task got more and more difficult until it ultimately became impossible. In the end the Lions hit 3 in each half to secure an impressive win. Martin Abel was the chief architect of the win with 4 goals whilst Cillian O'Donohue chipped in with 2 goals. The goals put each marksman on 5 for the tournament and in with a shout of the top goalscorer prize. More importantly the Lions had qualified for the Cup, Whiteley FC would play their knock-out football in the Plate.

The only thing left to decide was who would win Group B – Olympic Phil Babb only needed a point to claim that honour. Real So So Bad, currently in 3rd, would need to avoid heavy defeat to slip into 4 th . Even with a win Real So So Bad could do no better than 3rd but they would have a prize scalp.

There was to be no scalp though as Martin Hinks scored for the second game in a row to give Olympic Phil Babb a 1-0 lead. Before the break James Cooper made it 2-0 and after the break Will Smith sealed a 3-0 win. Olympic Phil Babb had won Group B with a 100% record. Real So So Bad finished 3rd.
