Teams from destinations as far flung as Greece, New Zealand and the UK have travelled to Prague to take glory but have yet to come away with the trophy. Can you break the local dominance in 2008?

Prague, as you no doubt will have heard, is one of the most beautiful cities not only in Europe but in the world. As a destination Prague is still relatively cheap and means your money goes a long long way. No matter whether you are going to Prague for the football, the culture, the history, the sightseeing, the party, the beers or any other reason you will be guaranteed to love Prague, we promise!

Prague is a city of unique and awesome beauty. It is home to a wealth of stunning buildings and monuments that span a number of eras. The architectural forms range from Romanesque and Gothic through Renaissance and Baroque to Art Nouveau and Cubism. The Czech capital is also blessed in the fact that most of its man-made environment survived the rigours of World War II and is still in place for you to see.

Prague's bar and club scene is as appropriately raucaus as its infamy suggests. Prices and clientele veer widely from the tourist-filled Old Town haunts to the sometimes slightly seedy neighbourhood bars. You will find that beer is drunk morning, noon and night, and that Czech beers are among the best and cheapest in the world. Brands to look out for include Pilsner Urquell, Gambrinus, Staropramen and Budweiser (Budvar). You will not go thirsty! But then again, you will not go sober!
