Open Age
Cheesecake FC secure breakthrough victory in style!

We have often described Cheesecake FC as the best team to play in our tournaments without winning one - not any more. They have come so close on many an occasion and their epic challenge for 2011 Algarve Open title will live long in the memory. At the 2014 Mallorca Tournament they achieved their goal and emerged victorious. They breezed through the group phase before securing some harder fought wins in the knock-out phase. With 7 wins in 7 games there can be no doubt the best team won.

In the Plate competition, Brioche won the competition on debut over Athletic 8Minute Bilbao and there was a Wooden Spoon win for Paris St Gentleman. Individual honours went  to Kevin Raphael of Cheesecake FC as tournament Top Goalscorer.

Veterans
Palmesanos edge out The Blackouts to take 2nd eurofootballfives Vets tournament

Following our debut Veterans Tournament in Lisbon 2013, the second annual event in Mallorca proved a great success on a glorious weekend in the Balearics. It was Spain versus Ireland in the Cup Final and Palmesanos edged a very close game between two good sides. They won it 1-0.

In the first ever Veterans Plate competition there was success for €agles 3:36 which was perhaps no surprise as they already had two eurofootballfives.com Plate successes in the Open Age tournaments. They defeated a Dickie Dogs side who had finished 6th in Lisbon and, technically, 6th again here in Mallorca.

There was consolation for Ronan Gilligan of The Blackouts for Cup Final defeat as his 8 goals secured him the Top Goalscorer award.
