The 2013 Barcelona Fives Trophy Final would see Drunk Perfect meet Deportivo Dooradoyle. Let's have a look at our two contenders;

Drunk Perfect

Playing in their 3rd eurofootballfives.com tournament and this was to be their first Final after two previous Quarter-Final exits in Barcelona (Cup in 2011, Plate in 2012). Drunk Perfect had lost their first three games today but bounced back in sensational style with 3 consecutive wins scoring 17 goals in those 3 games. Dooradoyle defence watch out!

Deportivo Dooradoyle

Were also playing in their 3rd eurofootballfives tournament and were playing in their second final. They lost in the 2011 Amsterdam Fives Plate Final and were hoping to swap Runners-up medals for Winners medals today. They came to the Final with two wins on the bounce and two consecutive clean sheets – Drunk Perfect forwards watch out!

Would it be the free-scoring Drunk Perfect or the solid Deportivo Dooradoyle who would prevail? Neither style would completely dominate as the Irish defence was breached and the Spanish goalscoring was curtailed. The game finished 1-1 in normal time as Damien Digonnet's goal for Drunk Perfect cancelled out Keith Lynch's goal for Deportivo Dooradoyle.

A penalty shoot-out ensued. Drunk Perfect were to shoot first and missed handing the initiative to Deportivo Dooradoyle who converted through Sean O'Donnell. Drunk Perfect quickly equalized before Ger O'Loughlin restored the lead. Drunk Perfect missed their third penalty and it was all over. It was a cruel way for Drunk Perfect to end the tournament but they had Runners-Up medals in the presentation as a small consolation.
