After 4 successive years of Krakow opening the eurofootballfives.com season, it is Barcelona that has been trusted to begin our 2011 calendar and you could not find a better destination to take over that mantle.

If you want to visit the hugely impressive Camp Nou we can arrange a stadium tour for you. Depending on how La Liga fixtures pan out we can also obtain (subject to availability) tickets for you to visit the mighty Barcelona FC. If Barcelona are away this weekend, we can look at getting you tickets for Espanyol as an alternative.

Putting football to one side, Barcelona itself is a fascinating city awash with historical and modern art and culture and not to mention one of the most cosmopolitan and vibrant cities in Europe. The city has a certain buzz to it both during the day and the evenings when the night scene bursts into life. If you never get the chance to visit Barcelona during your life you have definitely missed out.

Barcelona 5-a-side Football Tournament Details

Competitions:	Cup and Plate	Ball used:	Futsal
Rules:	Standard FIFA 11-a-side rules but no-offsides, rolling subs and goalkeepers can not kick from the hand.

Format: 4 groups of 4 teams will play in the group stages. The top two teams progress to the Cup which will then be played on a knockout basis. The teams placed third and fourth will progress to the Plate which will also be played on a knockout basis.

Tournament Venue

The Barcelona Fives will be held at a specialist sports facility which has specialist 5- and 7-a-side pitches. The pitches are new generation artificial grass laid on a bed of rubber fibregel balls/pellets. The venue is a great quality venue and perfect for the tournament.
