Vodafone Netherlands would kick us off in Round 2 of Group B against Unathletico Madrid. The Dutch team had slipped to defeat in their opening fixture so really needed a victory here to bounce back. Unathletico Madrid had begun with a draw in their first game so could they build on that opening point?

It was Vodafone Netherlands who drew first blood as Wouter Noe scored their first goal of the day and first goal in eurofootballfives.com competition. It was a goal that would also give Vodafone Netherlands a 1-0 lead at half-time.

Unathletico Madrid would need to turn things around and a Chris Heald strike put them in with a chance. Heald's strike was also the first for his team on the day and in eurofootballfives.com tournaments. In a game of firsts who could grab a second for victory?

Robert Geijsel scored in the second half for Vodafone Netherlands and that goal ultimately proved to be the winner. It was a narrow hard-fought 2-1 win to the home side and just what Vodafone Netherlands needed to kickstart their campaign. It left Unathletico Madrid at the foot of the table.

Team Extreme were up next against Big Dogs. Both of these teams had claimed victory in Round 1 and if either side could grab another victory then they would be in command of Group B. This was a chance to set the standard in the group.

After the opening exchanges it was Team Extreme who struck the first blow through Dave Cole. Dave Cole was the team's top goalscorer at the 2012 Valencia Fives and he was up and running today. The half-time whistle went with no further addition to the score and Team Extreme with a slender advantage.

In the second half Big Dogs found an equalizer through Bradley Hill and it was honours even. Time ran out before either side could find a winner and had to settle for 1-1. It was not the end of the world though as it means these two teams shared the lead at the top of Group B. Only time would tell if it was a point gained or two points dropped for the teams in queston.

The game that would complete Round 2 was RFM against Damn Big Dogs. Both teams were looking for their first win of the day although RFM did have a point to their name already. Both teams were also looking for their first goals of the tournament.

The two teams wait for a goal would not last too much longer though as Adam Harper (Damn Big Dogs) and Richy Cordiner (RFM) both got on the scoresheet. RFM would not be looking at a second successive draw though and sadly for them it was for negative reasons. A second goal from Adam Harper ensured that Damn Big Dogs would end up on the right side of a positive result and claim their first victory of the day.

The result meant we'd have a remarkable set of results in Round 2. Both teams in Round 1 that had won 2-0 drew in Round 2, both teams that had lost 2-0 in Round 1 had taken victory in Round 2 and both teams that had drawn in Round 1 had finished with a 2-1 defeat in Round 2. It meant Group B was a keenly contested affair.
