Welcome
to Palma Mallorca and the 2007 Mallorca Championships!
Majorca
(or Mallorca in Spanish) is the most popular of
Spain's Mediterranean islands, drawing millions
of visitors each year. Mallorca has a coastline
500km (310 miles) long of glorious golden sandy
beaches. The beautiful island is an explorer's
paradise in its exterior, although the islans
has been overbuilt along certain coastal regions
- Palma is not one.
Palma
is the capital of the autonomous region of the
Balearic Islands. It is a lively and cosmopolitan
city in true Spanish tradition. The centre forms
a bustling montage of shopping centres, a maze
of narrow lanes and traditional buildings, restored
to their former glory, surrounded by the ruins
of the ancient city walls which contrast nicely
with modern boulevards.
When
the sun goes down the nightlife comes alive with
party-goers spilling onto the streets and filling
the bars and clubs dressed to wow you and have
your tongue hanging out as you trip from bar to
bar. The south west resorts of Magaluf, Palma
and El Arenal (which pretty much all roll
into one) is where you'll find the hottest action.
The place is full of pubs, bars, clubs, karaoke
bars, cabaret shows, foam parties and more! There
are clubs to suit all tastes and you really can't
go wrong with the nightlife here.
The
Mallorca Championships is the place for full throttle
football action and one helluva party afterwards!
Tournament
Venue
The
Mallorca Championships will be held at the San
Moix in Palma Mallorca. The pitches and
facilities have been completely updated and renovated
in 2005 offering a fantastic facility for the
Championships. The pitches are natural grass pitches
with the pitch markings painted on the ground.
