Ever fancied your chances of scoring in Budapest?

Well now is your chance! The Magyar Masters is eurofootballfives debut event in Hungary and promises to be a classic. The full-day tournament is located centrally in Budapest on Saturday 27th May and offers teams from across Europe to compete and show they are worthy of lifting the inaugural Magyar Masters crown.

Teams such as Honved and Ferencvaros may not be the most famous names in European football but Hungary is as passionate about football as anyone and can claim to have produced one of football’s true legends – the “little fat chap”

"Look at that little fat chap. We'll murder this lot." In the long and inglorious annals of great British sporting disasters, few judgments have been wider of the mark. The "little fat chap" was Ferenc Puskas, the Hungarian captain. Ninety minutes later Hungary had slaughtered England 6-3. They were the first foreign team to inflict defeat on England at Wembley. And what a defeat. It wasn't just the score. The style of football played by the Magnificent Magyars might as well have come from another planet. England, self-styled masters of the game, were humiliated. Puskas went on to have a glorious career at Real Madrid where he partnered another great, Alfredo Di Stefano.

Puskas scored 35 goals in 39 European matches for Real Madrid. Can you emulate Puskas and become the Magyar Masters top scorer?

Budapest is a fantastic city and has not earnt it’s reputation as the ‘Paris of the East’ for nothing. Divided in two by the Danube River, Buda is the hilly medieval side, while Pest is the modern metropolitan, tree lined, shopping, dining and cultural centre.

Budapest represents an ideal destination for a sporting weekend away – the perfect backdrop for the tournament itself, a beautiful historical and cultural city to explore by day and a nightlife to compete with any other city in Europe.

We have secured the Magyar Masters to be held at the prestigious Olympic Centre of Budapest. The venue has medical facilities, excellent shower and changing facilities plus plenty of refreshment facilities for both food and drink including a fully licensed bar.
