Our first ever ladies tournament in Barcelona was greeted with glorious Spanish weather – blue skies, sunshine, hot temperatures and great views of the Catalan capital from the famous Parque Guell.

On the pitch, 7 teams from England and Jordan competed to become the first ever winners of the 2008 Barcelona Fives. The tournament would see the welcome return of BA Speedbirds to eurofootballfives.com action following their efforts in the 2007 Albufeira Fives plus debuts for the rest of the line-up.

The teams would compete in one league of seven teams playing each other once. The top 4 would progress to the Cup competition whilst the teams in 5th – 7th would compete in a round robin mini-league to contest the Plate Title.

With strong enquiries for the 2009 Barcelona Fives already (10 before the 2008 event had even kicked off) plus the invitation to local Spanish teams we are anticipating a 16-team event for June 2009. We hope you can join us.
