Format: 4 groups of 5 teams will play in the group stages. The top two teams progress to the Cup which will then be played on a knockout basis. The teams placed third and fourth will progress to the Plate which will also be played on a knockout basis. The teams finishing fifth in each group will be eliminated.

Tournament Venue
The 2007 Algarve Open will be held at the Browns Sport & Leisure Club. Established in Vilamoura in The Algarve in 1986 as a tennis club, Browns was completely renovated in 2000 to create an exclusive sports training facility. The Algarve was chosen due to its excellent climate and the access from around Europe into Faro International Airport. There are a whole host of leisure activities to keep guests entertained outside of the tournament itself including swimming pools, tennis courts, gymnasium and health club. The venue has been chosen as the training venue for both professional football clubs and national football teams so it was only natural that we would choose such a quality venue to host the Algarve Open.
