Format: 4 groups of 5 teams will play in the group stages. The top two teams progress to the Cup which will then be played on a knockout basis. The teams placed third and fourth will progress to the Plate which will also be played on a knockout basis. The teams finishing fifth in each group will be eliminated.

The Albufeira Fives enters it's second year after a triumphant debut in 2007. In 2007 the silverware of both the Cup and Plate competition went to Portuguese teams despite valiant efforts from travelling overseas teams. Do you have what it takes to go to Portugal in 2008 and come back with the Albufeira Fives trophy?

The Albufeira Fives is a ladies only tournament.. We have chosen Albufeira in The Algarve to host the event. The Algarve is synonymous with great weather, sun-drenched beaches, glorious golf courses and a lively and vibrant nightlife. Albufeira is arguably the place to be in the Algarve for nightlife and is a great venue to go out on the town after the tournament and fraternize with your opposition (either the opponents in your tournament or those of the opposite sex!)

Tournament Venue

The 2008 Albufeira Fives will be held at the Hotel Montechoro in Albufeira. The Hotel Montechoro, which boasts in own sports club and pitches, is a fantastic venue. It is located close to the beach and nightlife so everything you need is in easy reach. The hotel also has three restaurants and two bars to enjoy before you hit the town and head to the famous Albufeira strip which heaves with bars and clubs.

Prices are per person based upon twin room sharing.
2 nights accommodation in chosen hotel on B&B basis.
Return Airport-Hotel-Airport Transfers based upon minimum 5 passengers.
Return Hotel-Football-Hotel Transfer.
All tournament fees including entry fee, registration fee, pitch hire, referees, tournament directors, medical facilities, shower and changing room facilities, availability of refreshment facilities (refreshments not included).

You can avoid single supplements by adding a third bed to a twin room at no extra cost.

Flights are excluded from the prices quoted. We are at your disposal to give you information, recommendations and advice on the flight options available. Our advice costs nothing. If you would then like us to book your flights on your behalf we can do but we would then add a booking fee. We can book your flights for you and will book them at cost. We charge a booking fee of £5.00 per passenger which will automatically be added to your bill. All flights are instant purchase and credit card payment is required at the time of booking. Your contract will be with the airline and the airline will show on your bank or credit card statement. Any airline handling fees such as payment fees will be charged by the airline direct to you.
