Format: 4 groups of 5 teams will play in the group stages. The top two teams progress to the Cup which will then be played on a knockout basis. The teams placed third and fourth will progress to the Plate which will also be played on a knockout basis. The teams finishing fifth in each group will be eliminated.

The 2007 Albufeira Fives is a ladies football tournament. We have chosen Albufeira in The Algarve to host the event. The Algarve is synonymous with great weather, sun-drenched beaches, glorious golf courses and a lively and vibrant nightlife. Albufeira is arguably the place to be in the Algarve for nightlife and is a great venue to go out on the town after the tournament and fraternize with your opposition (either the opponents in your tournament or those of the opposite sex!) In our opinion, what more could you want?

The Albufeira Fives is an ideal tournament to escape the autumn and onset of winter in the increasingly cold and dreary UK. This is your chance to take in some late European sun and try to extend the summer for all its worth.

Tournament Venue

The 2007 Albufeira Fives will be held at the Hotel Montechoro in Albufeira. The Hotel Montechoro, which boasts in own sports club and pitches, is a fantastic venue. It is located close to the beach and nightlife so everything you need is in easy reach. The hotel also has three restaurants and two bars to enjoy before you hit the town and head to the famous Albufeira strip which heaves with bars and clubs.
